So all in all, people who are too lazy to go to the local government meetings but now suddenly care about things that were announced years and years ago. I personally wouldn't get in the way of a big boulder speeding down a mountain but more power to the people who do.

That’s cool and all but… a lot of these assholes are building them anyway. Look at Newton, County GA. They started building without permits. Also, whether or not these weasels get voted out doesn’t matter if the data center gets built anyway. Let’s be real folks. They’re going to force the surveillance grid on us no matter what.
