I appreciate that Judas Priest reference at 11:08, lol! I know "Locked In" is not their most appreciated single, but I I loved that song when I was just getting into Judas Priest in 2008 or so…

But back to Emptiness. I've only heard Nothing But The Whole and Not for Music from them, and dug those albums a lot, even though you are right on needing a certain headspace to listen to them. I didn't know they had a new album coming out so this review was nice to see!

I loved Emptiness' album Not for Music, and I was so excited to hear Nowhere Speaks, and I had such a great listening experience to the album first thing. It was a beautifully uncomfortable listen in the best way possible! I wonder if Emptiness will be this year's Floating for you Blayne?

Love seeing this band get some attention. My favorite of theirs is actually probably their non-metal Vide. The decision to open the album up, which best I can tell (I don’t speak the language) is themed around the isolation of the Covid lockdowns, by using the pulse of a ventilator as its primary percussion instrument was a real chef’s kiss moment. A real, depressing, triggering chef’s kiss moment

Long time lurker and subscriber! The audio for the song snippets are almost all vocals with very little instruments. I checked the songs out on youtube and spotify and they sound "normal" there. I assume it's the mixing of this video. I have a 2.1 stereo setup on my windows pc without any extra audio settings or software changed from default windows 11.

I'm actually listening to my two new albums that I'm in the making they AI generated so don't be too harsh. I put a lot of work into them and I'm very proud of the work I've been doing with them and I can't wait for the people to hear them the songs they are amazing.

Blayne has gone mad with power after bullying that guy on the cover art. I'm worried what influence he'll try to exert on my band. Great review, though.

The first track on this record starts where the last track on Nothing But The Whole ends, and the last track ends where the first track on NBTW starts. It's a super cool cyclical thing.

Back in the day I got a cassette promo of Raekwon (from Wu-Tang) "Only Built For Cuban Lynx" that was wound so it played backwards. I loved it for about two minutes until I realized what was happening.
