In terms of spice, I usually go with salt, pepper and a tiny bit of nutmeg. I'm a simple man.

Your cooking videos are always a delight and very comfortable to watch.
And yes, I was curious how you make mashed potatoes – can confirm, they are awesome 🙂

Do you remove the eyes so the horror of being boiled is a surprise?

Dear Content Creator, could you tell me please? how would adding something like, say, cheese-cake or, say, treacle-tart, or, say, lemon-meringue pie, affect the recipe? cheese-cake especially as the consistency would match nicely. and also, at which point should it be put in the cooking function? many many thanks for the instruction. god should bless you.

As much as I love recipes for good food, I wish I had a dish to pair these with. Do you have a recipe for really bad meatloaf?

super pro tip, find some dou chi, chinese fermented black soybeans. i've been making mashed potatoes with those plus onions and they're the best mashed potatoes in the galaxy.
saute diced onions in a separate pan, and halfway through add chopped dou chi. once onion is done, set aside and mix into the mash once the mash is mashed.

Peeling is a rookie mistake. The peel adds nutrients, flavor, and varied texture. No reason to do that extra work.

I feel so validated. If I were to make a mashed potato tutorial it would be this video (though my cinematography would be 1000× worse, haha).
I KNOW those are some delicious potatoes!

YouTube has some really good timing to recommend this right after I finished making my own mashed potatoes. I guess I can at least compare our methods…
Edit: I add bacon bits to mine! Also, and this one I have only done once, if you decide to go with peeled potatoes you can then cook the peels separately, either fry them or bake them into chips in the oven.

I followed this recipe exactly (except for the mashing part which I had to skip that because I don't have a potato masher) and I have to say that they didn't turn out very good. So I'd say this recipe isn't very good

As an autistic guy living alone this is unironically very helpful. I struggle with executive dysfunction, so when I'm uncertain about how to properly do something its really difficult to ever try it. Having this type of step-by-step guide for cooking simple things and what matters when you cook it is really helpful.
