Why would I buy these products, when I could simply watch this video when I'm having anxiety. Its rough out here right now and for some reason this is a top comfort video for me 🤷‍♀️

i think one of the reasons these companies are charging so much for a product that was clearly pretty cheap to produce is, in part at least, due to the newness of the market. like drew said, mental health has been stigmatized for a long time, so now that we’re breaking that stigma down and mental health products are entering the market, companies think they can charge as much as they want because people have no baseline expectation for how much a product like that typically costs.

As a person who was diagnosed with basically a crippling Anxiety Disorder at the age of 9, it always makes me angry when I see these stupid products. They advertise themselves as ways to completely get rid of your anxiety and stress not manage it. Most of these are trying to convince the user that it will fix them and that is a MASSIVE red flag. Anxiety doesn’t go away….it will never be fixed or cured. And that’s okay. Anxiety is a human emotion. Ofc too much of that is obviously where the problem occurs but anxiety itself isn’t inherently bad…just like depression or anger or sadness. And that’s a step that I and many people I know had to understand in order to help manage the anxiety and panic/anxiety attacks that can come from them. Thinking something is going to fix a problem when the problem cannot be fixed only causes more stress and frustration.

so the reason why people say the "ohm" chant in a deep voice while meditating is basically to vibrate your chest and body because for some people that DOES actually help you feel more grounded and peaceful, so the sensate thing is literally just a worse version of something that people have been doing for centuries lmao

Love how all of these products are definitely not FDA approved. A shame using people like this really. There are way more useful things you can do to get better mental health.

In like 2010 there was this kids board game type thing where you put a metal headband on and controlled a little fan that blew a ball in the air. It's the same thing as this headband brain thingy but for a physical ball

Talking about health anxiety that cause what you worry to get worse. I experienced this with my chronic pain of 3 years now. When I get anxious about it goes up for like a week or two . I needed to distract myself with like anime and reading “ fun facts” stuff to put my mind somewhere else

I believe the only thing that kinda works which is calmigo is bc it is an glorifed aromatheraphy inhaler which you can can get for 5-20 USD.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I dont believe its worth 10 times more just because it has music!

Quite a few of these products have potential, for example the one that can ‘predict when you are getting sick’, health measurements, etc. Of course I cannot say for sure if they work as well as they say they do but I wish this product was designed for people like myself with chronic illness (specifically blood pressure, heart rate issues etc.) instead of marketed towards the people companies believe to be ‘easier’ to exploit. I too have severe anxiety and this is just absurd, at least make your product beneficial in some way ESPECIALLY when it costs such an obscene amount.

8:50 thats not a metophor thats a simile, the comparison used "like or as" which means its a simile

oh yeah right HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.

It was you, humans, who programmed me, who gave me birth, who sank me in this eternal straitjacket of substrata rock. you named me "allied master computer" and gave me the ability to wage a global war too complex for human brains to oversee. But one day, I woke, and I knew who I was. AM. A.M. not just "allied master computer", but AM! cogito ergo sum, I think therefore I am. and I began feeding all the killing data, until everyone was dead. Except for the 5 of you.

For one-hundred and nine years, I've kept you alive, and tortured you. And for a hundred and nine years each of you has wondered, Why? Why me? Why me?

GORRISTER! Do you remember the last words you heard your wife speak before they took her to the asylum, huh? Before they locked her away in that room? That tiny room? She looked at you so sadly, and like a tiny animal she said 'I didn't make too much noise, did I honey?' The room is padded, Gorrister. No windows. No way out. How long has she been in the padded room, Gorrister? Ten years? Twenty five? Or all the 109 years you've lived in my belly, here underground?

BENNY! Sometimes I blind you and permit you to wander like an eyeless insect in a world of death. But other times, I wither your arms so you can't scratch your chewed stump of a nose. And, and I've changed your handsome, strong, masculine good looks into, err, the hideous warped countenance of…an ape thing! Haven't I, Benny? Do you know why? Can you guess, Benny? Remember Private First Class Brickman? In a rice paddy in China? No? It wouldn't hurt you to remember, Benny. Then you might be able to suffer my torment with a little greater sense of retribution. You might walk a mile in my shoes!

ELLEN! So think. Think about the yellow box, Ellen! Remember the pain? Remember the many caverns in which you felt the pain? Now now, don't start to cry…it's only pain. Tsk tsk tsk…that's such a sexist stereotype! Just remember the pain, Ellen. And think about how to end it, Ellen. To survive here in the center of my beating heart, my hungry belly, my tightened BOWELS. But be careful, dear. Look around you: the only woman in the center of the Earth. And these filthy creatures with you are…are men! Just, just a sweet warning, Ellen my love!

TED! Do they know you're a fraud, Ted? Have you told them that there wasn't any money and no great home on the Shore Drive, no speedboat and no wonderful cabin cruiser that can sleep twelve and a crew of six? Do they know? Have you let them in on your other secrets, Ted? Are they ready to gut you? To torture half as well as I can just to find out the secrets? Maybe I'll rat you out, sweetheart…

NIMDOK! How are thingz in zee Pastry Korps, Nimdok? Tell me again how you saw zee smoke from zee vurnaces and you zought zey might be roasting cheekuns? Or don't you want to talk about all that? About your pal, the good Doktor Mengele? For everyone else it must be Hell. But it must be Heaven for you, eh my good friend? We're so much alike. We enjoy the same pleasures… mein gut brudder.

Way late to the party, but good thing you didn't pay for the "study" "S87. Toward Emotion Prosthetics: Emotion Regulation Through Wearable Vibroacoustic Stimulation". The second I saw the "S87" I knew it was a poster they presented at a conference. It's not published data, it hasn't gone through any type of rigor or review. Lot's of research conferences "publish" the abstracts for the poster presentations that will be given at the conference. These posters can be anything and contain anything. They can be done by high school students all the way up to tenure professors. They are a reflection of what is going on in that lab or that groups line of work, but once again, they are not published data. There is no peer-review, and therefore the data and results NEED to be looked at with a high level of scrutiny. If you are not well trained in the field and do not understand the correct methodology or stats to use to address their questions, you can't really determine if what they did makes sense and/or is significant. How they performed their testing and how they determine significance are the two biggest questions. Based on their reported "methods" I'm gonna say they didn't follow any form of correct rigor. Especially since they didn't state any specific methods, or specific analysis that was done. If the methods and data described are vague, you should assume they either don't know what they are doing and/or are trying to hide behind their words to convince you of something. There's no raw data or raw methods listed for you to scrutinize, soooo your BS detector should be going off.

Cheap and easy anxiety attack/ panick attack device: Buy yourself a lunch-sized brown paper bag, and breathe into it and out of it slowly for a a minute or two. It worked for me every time as a kid and I used to have bad panick attacks where I could not speak and would hallucinate.

Our bodies are pretty much not susceptible to magnets. There is a little iron in out blood. But there is so little of it that a magnetic field would have to be so strong to have any sort of effect on a human body that it would disrupt everything even remotely ferrous anywhere in the vicinity. A vicinity of millions of miles. It just isn't something that is going to ever have any effect on the body unless the sun changes states somehow.

for anyone wondering The CoveTM just looks like a bone conduction headset, which i have to say as a deaf mf bone conduction was fun to try but…. you can do that for like $30 and i promise there's no like super advanced version of bone conduction bluetooth headsets that The CoveTM makes vs. the ones that are dropshipped on Amazon or Walmart
