Yeah, in the 50s & 60s, mostly men worked & women stayed home…and those considered “rich” were actually in the top 5% of wage earners. Now if you have a family with more than 2 kids & your wife stays home, and you make 100k, you’re barely surviving, but are considered to be “rich”. In the end, we’re trusting the government (made up of the same sinners as in the private sector, but have no accountability) to redistribute that wealth. When will you idiots realize that the money NEVER goes to those who need it.

I feel like Elon Musk has a dream that he can make travel (at least in the U.S.) a service for everyone. Where you won't own your car, you won't have the privacy that cars grant right now, where you won't necessarily be able to just get up and go wherever you want, whenever you want. But for whatever reason, he hasn't yet realized that such a system was doomed to fail in the U.S. the moment he considered it. That's why there are so many fiction books about those systems failing; because that's their only outcome.
