Feels like what leaves one satisfied is when circumstances brings you fully in the present moment. Event if it's a stressful or a fun moment, when your action feels meaningful now, and has an impact now, that is what leaves me really fulfilled. Performing or preparing oneself for a future that doesn't even exist (yet?) feels like wasting the potential I have now. And anyways. One shouldn't perform to be respected.

i suppose despite this enlightment/knowing we endure that existence is naturally imperfect and we dont always get what we want is we try to a certain amount and logic for things we think achievable and deeply desire. by that, we don't keep pitying ourselves for such situation but make something which we understand might not be successfull but we had tried anyway. maybe this is like the goal is to experience kinda thing.

I bet a list of books you'd recommend would be immaculate
Edit: I just noticed you've already made videos about that. Yippee 🥳

But we are searching to reconnect with God and honestly God might as well be the ocean. We arent here just for happiness we are here to love in a wise mature divine unconditional responsible way and then return to the Ocean. Right?

I've come to realize that I do like my "simple“ life and don't have a strong motivation to reach anything higher outside of working on my character and hobbies. But I'm afraid that I'll regret not trying to achieve more, that I'll lose my ability to handle hardship, and that i'm avoiding a responsibility to myself and others. Logically the correct thing is to try, I won't have answers until I try for myself, but I'm afraid of what I'll have to sacrifice

It just feels like I'm capable of MAKING something so much more. Capable of loving and being loved. I guess I do have the problem talked about here, I just struggle to put down the yearning for more when I've seen people who have more. Not more materially. More mentally, more artistically. I see the possibility of connection to something deeper and fail to reach it. Paradise lost. The sacred unobtained.

    I dont disagree.
But It's hard to put yearning down.

Then again I'm a college student so im kind of SUPPOSED to be ambitious, right?

I just dont know what I want.

Im gonna be thinking about this one for a while.

Although true, i feel the need for this “perfect life” mostly comes from the lack of meaning that never ends so we indulge in working tirelessly so maybe then we can fill up the emptiness of life

The only thing you can do is think less do more just do the things that can take you to the version that you want to see in yourself

You are not chasing a future self, but the ghost of a feeling you believe you lack now. To look only at the lighthouse is to sail in circles, never realizing the shore you seek is the very water through which your boat moves.
