Today’s live show breaks down Trump refusing to sign the bipartisan affordable housing bill while using it as leverage for the SAVE America Act. Tom and Drew debate whether election integrity or housing affordability should come first — and why both issues are downstream of deeper economic incentives. We also cover Supreme Court immigration wins, New York’s rent freeze, inflation hitting 4.1%, Thomas Massie accusing Trump of communism, AI regulatory capture, the Strait of Hormuz crisis, and GTA 6’s rumored $3 billion in presales.

The conversation focused on the most pressing political, economic, and technological issues shaping today’s world. A key theme that emerged was the ongoing debate over the bipartisan affordable housing bill and the political maneuvering surrounding its passage, with in-depth analysis on why Trump is leveraging it to push the Save America act. The discussion explored the challenges of housing affordability, the role of private equity in the real estate market, and the potential ramifications of rent control policies.

Several points were raised, including recent Supreme Court decisions impacting immigration, the dynamics of regulatory capture—particularly in the AI sector—and the broader concerns of government overreach into private industry. The panel examined the parallels between government expansion and free market incentives, warning against policies that undermine innovation and individual prosperity.

In addition, the podcast delved into the rapidly evolving AI landscape, the financialization of the American economy, and factors driving social and economic discontent, such as asset ownership and generational wealth gaps. Listeners can also expect thoughtful exchanges on international relations, especially the shifting balance of power in the Gulf region, and sharp commentary on the cultural and economic consequences of current policy choices.

Tune in for a deep dive into cause and effect thinking, practical advice for navigating political discourse, and strategies for thriving in times of uncertainty.

Hey, I had a much different conclusion than Drew regarding my pillow guy and Dominion. Then again Drew seems to be a leftist.

The terms are confidential, so it’s not impossible money moved. But the publicly available signals—plaintiff-initiated dismissal, no cost-shifting, Lindell publicly celebrating and saying he’s “still going after them,” and the timing eight months after the ownership change—all cut against the idea that Lindell paid. Lindell calling it “a blessing” and a “great day” is not how someone frames writing a check.

The absence of evidence of voter fraud does not equate to the evidence of absence of voter fraud.
This is what people keep missing. Elections aren't proven valid because there was no evidence of fraud, they are proven valid by being proven valid. Elections must be run in such a way that they are valid by construction and not trusted because some third party tells us they are fine. Ballots / chains of custody must be accounted for and tracked publicly. We need publically verifiable elections. We have the best technology in the world, and we already have the technology to do this. The public and private sector are already surveilling the American populace, this issue of creating valid elections is trivial in comparison. If we are going to be spied on, we deserve real elections. Many academic papers have been published on these subjects, and America has the smartest people in the world to work on this. We can do this, and we should be demanding it. We need formal, mathematical guarantees for the security of our elections. Not just some words from some corrupt politicians.

Why does Tom think that Drew is a good debater? Tom literally has to make Drew's arguments FOR him, then Drew nods and agrees because it makes sense and comes to the conclusion Drew was making, not because I believe Drew actually had a reason-based, logically-consistent chain of thought. I do not see that as evidentiary at all.

The mental gymnastics Drew is doing here to ignore Tom's argument is insane. "Because the Supreme Court are fixing this one part of a larger problem your argument is flawed so we don't need to make sure that illegal immigrants can't vote." Umm… No, Drew. No.

"If the government hasn't compiled statistics about them and doesn't know who they are, then they can't be getting government free services." *Sigh*. No, Drew, no. California is bending over backwards to give illegal immigrants health services WITHOUT telling the feds who they are.

Tom nails this: Our democratic process is the foundation of everything else. Therefor, making certain that no funny business is going on with our elections HAS to come first because everything else depends upon it. There mere fact that there are provable holes in our voting process (in at least some states) that COULD be abused is something we need to fix. We should NOT wait until there is proof that these holes ARE being abused. Period. But there is every incentive to rig elections, and if they can be rigged someone will try it — IF they haven't already.

Americans have always stood for what's right and for courage. But where is that courage now? Everyone is silent — like ostriches with their heads in the sand. This is wrongdoing. And this silence? It means they’ve lost the very soul of what it means to be American. I see a parallel with Serbia and the burden of unspoken crimes. The Epstein files are war crimes. Children are dying. So many children, so many little girls in Iran gone. And still, the world stays silent. That silence is guilt. It’s an admission of complicity. And maybe it’s even worse here because they haven’t just failed. They’ve lost their guts. Where are the voices to rise? Where is the moral courage? It’s time to reclaim it.

And when have the people voting set policies? It's just the people with $$$. Both parties, did trump do all the things his people wanted? No he did quite the opposite. Epstien, no more wars, ect…

Tom have you ever looked at the number of cases of voter fraud? Spoiler, its very little.. its just red meat for the base, and a way to prep for the his story that the next elections coming will have been stolen when he or his party loses if they do. Funny how 2024 there wasn't any voter fraud right?!.. hmmm makes you think..

Love the show Tom. I would love to see you and Dr Richard Werner do a show. If you haven’t heard of him, I would highly recommend listening to his episode on Tucker Carlson called “How to create money from Nothing” or with Robert Breedlove “You’ve been lied to about the history of money”. I think you guys would make for a cracking conversation combo! Cheers

Literally cannot trust Drew anymore. He talks confidently about something he was totally wrong about. Dominion just dropped the lawsuit against Lindell. Drew straight up lied and you let him, Tom. All it took was a Google search. If Drew is going to be your sidekick, at the very least he should be truthful. This isn't even remotely the first time he's done this.

It’s become clear that Drew‘s algorithm isn’t showing him all the evidence of illegal immigration that many of us have been seeing for years. It isn’t Elon Musk and Spencer Pratt tweets… It’s photos and videos and interviews and stats and in-depth stories exposing this problem that’s been going on for years. Anyone who doesn’t think this is a problem obviously isn’t seeing this evidence.

Tommmmm pleeeease…. when you have to say the same thing like 5 times and they still don't get it, you need some co-hosts on your intellectual level (or somewhere near it), this is like listening to a broken record over and over

It would be great for America if Iran ends up charging tolls for passage through the Strait of Hormuz. With the massive boom of oil exports going out of the Gulf of America, all we have to do is make it more financially sensible to buy from us and the Hormuz problem essentially doesn't exist anymore.

Every military action taken by the Trump administration so far has been to secure the USA's position as the global energy production leader. This doesn't make sense if you listen to the press releases and take what the administration says at face value, and look at these moves as isolated actions. But if you step back and look at the big picture and the outcomes, it's the ONLY thing that makes sense.

There’s tons of affordable housing. People just their affordable housing in the most desirable areas.

Plenty of room between the inland empire and Las Vegas to build a home for anyone that wants one.

Tom keeps talking about cause and effect and he always ends up to is illegal immigration as the root of every bad. For once call someone on the show who is on the other side of politics e.x Yanis Varoufakis and see how you will look like a tired boxer who is about to go down and he knows it.

Price are already controlled by private interests dont pretend its a free market it ISNT! if the state does it can be just as successful but not for the same people take a look at price controls under Roosevelt and the finance minster Kenneth Galbraith in the 1940s there are more recent examples you just have to look for it Tom… LOL
