I Found 8 Baby Ducks in a Storm

Hi Morgan. I live in Honolulu, HI. In this area literally having hundreds of chickens roaming free. Nobody cares and nobody catches them.
Among them, there is a chick (about a month old) with its left wing lingering down, (kind of falling).
In your opinion, that illness is deadly or it is recoverable as it grows?

Tbf I saw many duckling separated from their parents at the park I walk around every day. Very sad to see, the one time I saw one reunited was very satisfying

Sweet Momma Sprite and her babies! Here in the uk, 7.15pm Fri 26 June ~ the heat bubble is about to burst and we're only 21 degrees C at midnight tonight. (Ha! Only…) That spot of rain was a cooling balm, thank you.

Momma Duck seems quite happy with the nursery!

With the gosling growing up almost as the only gosling, does that affect it in any sort of negative way? I am not judging let me say, purely just a question. Thank you Morgan for the videos!

They all do look happy, even sprite. The sign of a good farmer is knowing what their birds need.

Don’t think it’s a good idea to have it so that the babies can get out. You have cats around. You’ll no doubt lose some.

I would put some plank of wood in one corner so it would male some shade that is not the grass.
or make them a roof above this fence so no Raptor bird will eat them.

Yes! I’m so glad you took the time to secure these babies ❤ if they start to go missing you can always add some chicken wire or mesh around the bottom❤

You could wrap hardware cloth around the bottem of the fencing to really be sure the ducklings are protected. Would only need to be about a foot or so in height with a few zip ties to keep it place.
