Five hair metal fans each reveal five confessions, guilty pleasures, unpopular opinions, and hot takes that could get our rock credibility questioned. From favorite bands to overrated albums and everything in between, nothing is off limits—and nobody gets a free pass!

"Painkiller" is not part of Judas Priest's "hair metal" phase. It's just a full-on slamming heavy metal album and my favorite of theirs.
Also, "Reckless" from the "Turbo" album is one of my favorite all-time songs of theirs.

The only reason that Matt prefers the nineties hair metal is because he wasn’t there during the height of hair metal in the eighties.

5. I caved like a wuss when confronted about liking hair metal in grade 10 when I moved to the west coast . I pretended I only listened to heavier stuff like thrash (which I did but was weak and folded like a cheap card table).
4. I have a huge love of Christian hair metal bands
3. Heartbreak Station is my favourite Cinderella album
2. I also usually leave before the encore or at least before it’s over
1. I prefer the heavier 90s influenced albums the best by bands like Crue, Warrant, Skid Row, Kiss, etc…they may be grunge era influenced but they are not grunge. They’re good!

Possibly time to invest in a new stereo system , because some of those albums sound incredibly good with a well matched and set up system. 😊
