I was in the kitchen getting brownies our of the oven for our TV night. My young son yelled, "Mom, our show was cut off. Something about Princess Diana." I said, "That woman can't sneeze without it being big news." I didn't know who Dodi was, an aunt or someone.

From what I remembered, the marriage seriously broke down when Harry was born. It seems like Charles said that Harry was 'a spare' when Charles actually wanted a daughter (princess).

Both Diana and Charles were victims of the palace's need for the right kind of PR. He couldn't marry who he wanted to and she got sold a fairytale that was more like a nightmare. They didn't dislike each other though. They were just wrong for each other. People tend to forget that they were trying to restablish good relations before she died.

Still remember when neighbor called sheriff on my family. They swore they had video evidence. The deputy came over to our house tryin no to laugh. He said "i just had to watch the princess diana video 3 times cuz they have nothin on camera. Im done here."

From the looks of it, the odds were stacked against her from a very early age. It's too bad since she was the only royal at the time that seemed to have any empathy towards the "lowly people." Her caring was the only thing that kept her going for the most part. RIP Diana.
