The war in the Gaza Strip is considered the deadliest for journalists in the 21st century. Many are killed in strikes on residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, or directly while on assignment. However, there are also allegations that the Israeli military has deliberately targeted some of them. The IDF denies this.
This is the story of journalism in Gaza – and the conditions under which it takes place.
