I like drawing, writing, intepreting poems, journaling… Someone out there is creating. That motivates me to create as well. Because I am yearning reciprocations for myself and for some stranger

Not sure if you've gotten this before, but the way you and Horses (the youtuber not the animal) talk sounds really similar. Not in a bad way i just noticed you have similar intonations and tone in your voice.

Everytime i try to write or start a project I always second-guess that start and then end up rewriting it a couple days later. Seeing that this sentiment is somewhat shared gives me some little bit of will to push through that to continue those projects.

I've got to say, originally I liked this channel, but I feel like lately they've all been the same stuff, depression, self hatred, existentialism, and while I agree that these are real and important, it's starting to feel less like " wow, this dude gets it " to " Jesus, how can I watch this and not get depressed…."

IDK, maybe I'm just reaching a point where I've learned to move past these topics, and I'm sure others need to hear this, but I think it's fair to say that Ive lost interest in this channel.

I don't like the notion that one "ought" to create anything at all, or even that one ought to go on living. Also, the entire notion that art has collective value is nonsense to me. If other people want to go around telling each other grand stories about shared narratives and tying themselves up in knots over them, that's their problem.

I ve been struggling with self hate and a lack of confidence in my espertice confronting a new novel I'm preparing. This video struck me very hard, it's been illuminating and give me hope to confront the fear of creation. Thank you so much love from the far away lands of Argentina ❤

I am about to make a two and a half minute hand drawn animation for an original song recorded by playing instruments into microphones. Art is not lucrative, that is currently true unless you already didnt need money, then you can get art career as a graduation present, figuratively speaking. But art is not dead.

7:28 How does that help though? I feel like i've 'psychoanalayzed' myself enough to have a pretty solid understanding of my fears and yet i don't see how to use that insight

Creation doesn't need to be art. You can make useful things and still put yourself into it. Its more fulfilling than art imo. When someone takes your handmade tool to plane wood, exactly as you intended. Your work isn't wasted on imbeciles who want to wear it on a hoodie. Theres a lot of things to create, beauty is only one of them. Beauty has never been my bag but I still create, and its easy to not hate myself when almost everyone can understand the benefit of my choices.

As someone in deep self-hatred right now, this is the only mind set that makes me do something in my art. If I accept the things as they are without putting the shame. If I delve into exploring my fears and not avoiding them. If I can see something, then it must be noticed. And if I am wrong, I adjust but not reject the argument. We all need to learn, and we will always be in the search, it doesn't mean we should stop from witnessing and expressing.

My motto for the last couple of years has been "do you have any idea how much work mid takes?!"

Basically taking it as a badge of honor that I've gotten that far where l have and not sweating the fact that I'll never be one of the greats.

Everything is deserving of existence. if not why would it exist? All is divine. This conclusion was my salvation, and lead to an authenticity and mental wellbeing I Haven’t had in my entire life.

Months ago, someone I knew in college was attacked online because of a religious misunderstanding, resulting in them receiving a lot of hate speech about themselves that didn’t even involve the original grievance. While not particularly close, I was moved enough to spend night-after-night writing a poem that points at and examines those who “don’t practice what they preach,” especially in the realm of Christianity. While not particularly proud of the piece, nor my reaction to the situation, I’m proud that I felt moved enough by an old acquaintance’s experience that I wanted to create something that both cleared the air while also discussing the issue at hand; art is, after all, made to confront both the world and yourself.

Arts not dead. Actually, im coming into my artistic prime right now. Im learning so much every day and im making every day.

The thing is, the economy doesnt allow the regular every day person to buy art right now. The upper class that can dont support small local artists. They want the big names cause they can afford them.

If anyonw wants to support a small artist. Hmu. I do lots of sculpture work and i could take cheap commissions.
