I always loved that song. Jimmy Olsen's Blues is another great track from them.

Jackasses talk shit about Spin Doctors all the time. I like them. I liked them when they hit it big. I still listen to them. Oh well, haters gonna hate.

There's always someone that will put you down doing what you love. Then later on they'll be so different, shes a narcissist b

I'd say the good to bad step Mom ratio is at best 50% good probably less. Many adoptive parents and step parenting situations just go bad. No need to try to run cover for the truth behind the song.

It successfully got the world "bítch" on the radio and no one really cared.

Being on the cover of Rolling Stone rag isn't anything to brag about since Rolling Stone sucks just like the band.

Just found your channel today, funnily enough after just randomly thinking, hey, what's the dude who left Weezer and started the rentals up to now. Here i am 30 minutes later. Thank you for your content, good sir. Just gained a new sub.

Spin Doctors was more for my sister than it ever was for me. I guess it is just that natural sibling rivalry of different interests, different personalities, different music that I can't think much of what we have in common, but we get along just okay.

Saw them at Jones Beach in the 90's with the Gin Blossoms. 8,000 people left the concert after 2 songs from the Spin Doctors who were the closing act. Only concert of the 80 concerts I went to in my life that I saw this happen.

I was in eighth grade when these guys came out, the hate that they got was insane amongst the high school age kids

I don't hate this song as much as I did in the past few decades (over-played on the classic alternative stations). Still prefer Jimmy Olson's Blues though.

Comess (pronounced COMB-ess) is a virtuoso whose excellent playing was largely responsible for their sound.

This video seems like it relies heavily on Wiki quotes. This guy went to Princeton high school, One of most prestigious HS in the country. Princeton University permits qualified juniors and seniors to take free courses at Princeton University. So he wasn't some poor kid living in a trailer park like reads here. There is also conflicting stories about why he dropped out of collage, mainly because he wanted to focus more on music, not his stepmother stealing his tuition money. The story seems to change as the years go on.

I used to watch them at the Continental Divide, in the Village N.Y.C. They never played the same song twice, they always changed it up somehow. I regret never getting bass lessons from Mark, i didn't have the $50 he wanted for an hour, that was my pot money!😁
I even knew a girl who swore "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" was about her, boy was she wrong.

I actually think Pocket Full of Kryptonite, the title track, is the best song on the album.

Do you think it's possible to write a "hit 90s" song in 2026?

I was not yet listening to radio back when this song would've been out, but in retrospect since the mid 90's.. I only ever hear "Two Princes" when it comes to music from the Spin Doctors… I actually had no idea this other song "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" was ever a single or even another hit for them until way way later past the 90's.

Lol. He disguised a really pissed off angry song as this lighthearted pop song. I never knew that story. That's awesome.

11:22 I never understood why David Letterman's band insisted on playing with the bands they'd have on as guests. Like the bands didn't play their songs 100s of times on tour and needed back up. It made sense for solo artist who didn't bring on their own backing band, but for a full band? It was so annoying.

Holy FUCK I hate this band. It's like the Grateful Dead (🤢) went from jam band to pop garbage. The fact that I worked in a grocery store and heard them a hundred times a shift when they first got popular doesn't help, I'm sure.

The Spindoctors are a highly underrated band that unfortunately got their momentum derailed by Chris's health issues. They should have gotten so much more attention than they did. I still think they are a great jam band that did a few pop songs. I saw them live several times, and their shows were always great.

Having my own experience with a malignant narcissist, I can GUARANTEE that when she did realize Little Miss Can't Be Wrong was about her, she probably bragged about it, saying that she was the inspiration for a song with billions of listens.

This song and the Spindoctors were the first group that I ever got into as a kid that wasn't something my parents listened to. I got the chance to see them at a festival in the early 2000s. I was right by the speaker and had my hands over my ears, and Chris saw me and made fun of me from the stage. That was a big thrill for teenage me, lol.
