I met Pete in the mid-90s, and he and Steve were both super sweet to me. I had heard that Pete was a huge diva and quite snarky, but he was gracious and kind to me and my friend. I was a teenager at the time. Steve was also an absolute gentleman. He held my hand as he talked to other fans, but it was only a kind gesture because I was nervous (absolutely nothing dodgy), and overall the band had a very different vibe from many that I met at the time, some of whom were pushy and inappropriate.
Maybe Pete wanted the notoriety that he attained, but no doubt he was genuinely suffering too… and I am glad that his music has also left a legacy, not just his dramas and traumas. RIP Pete and Steve.

OK, I tried to listen to it. Not a fan. But, I think this sounded a lot like Bowie.

I got to say it's an old Gen x or metal head the song and band were completely foreign to me because it just sounded like synth pop dribble that I backed and couldn't stand but over the years I've listened to a lot of it as a musician and the whole youth quake album is insanely underrated the guitar work on it is better than most thrash bands that I used to listen to. Anyway this is a really great video based on the person, Pete Burns, that pretty much set so many trans musically and with respect to fashion. I always love listening to your videos in the rated which you put them up is unprecedented, I hope you're taking time to care for yourself it's easy to burn out as I'm sure you know. Anyway great video and our cover band might end up doing this if we find a strong keyboard player.
