I always tell people the longest lasting and easiest form of protesting will always be education. Checking sources, researching, questioning and citing sources. They don't want us to have a big enough attention span to remember what happened 6 months ago. They don't want us to fact check or question anything. We should not be taking anybody's word as fact regardless of the source it comes from. I've been fact checking people since I graduated high school. Nobody should be just listening to the opinion they agree with. That's not how change occurs.

I hate to say this, but this war is either going to be the best thing possible for democrats to take back control and wall off people like trump from being able to do this again, or they will do absolutely nothing besides a band-aid that will do very little.

I created a dramatic reading series that takes anti-fascist/revolutionary theatre into bars and cafes in my area with guided discussions after the presentations. It's super low maintenance for the actors (no memorization or long rehearsal process) and super accessible for the audience (free and brought to places folks already hang out). The interest and support has been incredible.

General strikes are a very powerful tactic. I don't think the organization on the ground to pull one off successfully is there yet, but I think we're getting there. That's another thing the large scale, widespread protests are good for. Building that capacity.

i volunteer with my local mutual aid chapter of community fridges! we have four fridges with attached pantries in three locations across durham nc, and anyone can walk up anytime to access them. it’s a great alternative to those who have trouble accessing food banks for groceries or are unhoused and need a quick meal. a group of volunteers ensures the fridges are cleaned daily and we link up with local stores and restaurants for donations, AND community members are encouraged to donate as well. it’s incredible and has been a great way to engage with my city and provide for my friends and neighbors 💖

Your solution is basically just ask someone else to solve our issues. The constitution will only outlive us if we continue to let it. A piece of paper only works on lawyers. We need to tear it up and write a new one, not continue patching something written specifically to concentrate power. We, the people who are upset, could end all this tomorrow if we actually tried to and more people might actually want to try if people like you quite telling them they can't.

The govt is like a sword that hits one place with deadly force. The people are like rising water, able to push in from all places at once and utterly unstoppable.

Not trying to write you off, but McKinley's assassination caused a lot of political change because his VP was Teddy Roosevelt.
Roosevelt was a progressive Republican and prior to becoming VP, he was the governor of New York.
As governor, Roosevelt was anti monopolirs, and was already going after the big business trusts, and promoted his"square deal" platform of govt honesty and fairness.
Naturally, big business and politicians were against honesty and fairness, so when McKinley's first VP died in office, politicians and business conspired to put Roosevelt in as the replacement VP, since as long as the president is around, the VP doesn't have much power.
Working class hero Leon Czolgosz had other plans tho. After losing his job, and then everything else, in the panic of 1893(one of those once in a lifetime financial disasters that capitalism seems to have every 10 years or so), Mr Czolgosz became an anarchist and in 1901 he killed McKinley in Buffalo NY.
Roosevelt became president and aggressively went after the big business trusts, broke up monopolies, pushed thru the "Pure Food and Drug Act," and more.
Unfortunately, sometimes violence actually is the answer.
Unfortunately, Mr Czolgosz was convicted of murder and then executed a month later.
