The 6% thing is BS. It is marketing. I live there, I would love to leave. I don’t know why people love it. People sucks, weather is too humid and too hot, infrastructure SUCKS

I am so pleased to see how far you have come. From a young fella spitting hilarious facts to traveling the world with like minded conservationists teaching us the struggle of the animal kingdom. Keep on keeping on young man.

In Dominican Republic we call the “touch me not” “morí-viví” (I died-I lived) because it’s like they come back to life. Children love playing with them.

Lucky dog! One other Costa Rica factoid: Costa Rica has one of the highest literacy rates in the world always eclipsing the US. And why wouldn't they with so much to write home about? I'm telling you, Casual Geographic is not gushing or exaggerating about Costa Rica, It really is that nice. It's one of the world's best kept secrets, and I hope i hope it stays that way. No five star hotels on the beach, but that's part of what makes it great. the wildlife owns all the prime real estate, and that makes the place all that much more of a wonderland for those of us who love wildlife. May it ever be so!

Been living in Costa Rica for 32 years now. I am quite the fan of hiking and nightwalks. I am finding animals I don't know git about, all the time. Also in times and places they shouldn't be found. I saw an emerald crystal frog near the stream where I work out, in a mostly "urban" area. My daughter and myself once saw a rainbow boa in broad daylight. It was surreal. Love it here.

One of my favorite experiences in my life was when I saw a toucan just chilling out in a tree eating when I was at my bus stop waiting for the school bus when I was living in Panama. Living in Panama was really my first time living that close to nature. I kind of miss it.
