BLIP is the way to go for airdrop alternative. TBH works better than airdroping large files even from apple to apple devices

The images on the Oppo have blown (lost) highlights; they appear broadly better but look more fake. They appear higher quality because they’re being post-processed using AI, by boosting the light on the subject and controlling warmth and saturation, all using AI. As you discovered, the lens is not so good, so they have lower resolution in practical terms.

honestly i never felt this way when switching to android i felt like i had more options i didn't use airdrop much to begin with and nor do i like macs, windows is still better and linux is best but i was willing to take the good with the bad when switching.

I too have tried out the best of both "ecosystems" and have settled on the Apple one as an informed decision. Both ecosystems are the opposite ends of the same thread. Google focusses on an ecosystem where any device can technically support anything with an average experience, while Apple closes the doors but makes sure that the devices that they do support get the best possible experience.

You can't really judge the ecosystem experience when you've only mixed and matched a random Android phone and plugged it into the Apple ecosystem. Of course it won't feel as seamless as iPhone, where every single device is built from the ground up to work together. A fair test would require switching your entire setup. Right now, you’ve just tried to swap a single part of a cohesive system with something foreign.

i've never these nitpicks on a samsung though and i've been using the s24 and the iphone 15 side by side for quite some time now
