    Used to be a leader on Horror Amino. Left that place well before it shut down. An interesting experience, but ended up growing tired with where the developers were taking the app causing me to leave.

    I was on that app in 2020 because I was desperate to find friends, and I was unknowingly siphoned into furry and lgbt communities that encouraged and accepted disturbing, taboo and illegal practices in the form of roleplay and open discussion. I was exposed to things at the age of 13 that I shouldn't even have known about or witnessed until my late teens, at the youngest. I felt as though I was forced to fit in by identifying as a furry/queer and took on a persona before I was even given the time to fully process my own emotions on my situation. I could've left any day, but just a reminder that I was quite young at the time and didn't know where else to go; I didn't know any better.

    I'm so glad that this app has finally been shut down. It was a god-awful cesspool that led to the radicalisation of its users and was nearly cultlike, with the way it drew new impressionable people in. I hope the online friends I made during that time live terrible lives for the things they did to me and other young teens and children. I'm glad that I've been able to regain my manhood since then, though I still carry emotional scars from the things I've experienced there.

    And to the two adults who groomed me, who knew me either as Grace or Aveedoo… I still have photos of your faces, I still know your real names, I know which countries you're in, and I remember what you did. You don't know my face, you don't have my name, you don't know where I live, and I made sure I was untraceable to you. I want you to remember that I could drop the hammer on you at any time, if I so choose. I hope you live in fear.

    I'm actually kind of happy and you know is no longer there because I tried deleting my account when I deleted the app and I had a hard time remembering. And yeah I had tired of people trying to ask me for sex and also me and one of my friend on amino went to discord and had a toxic friend relationship with somebody and now we're in a new group of friends and it's much much better Luke chaotic but much better and healthier and I'm glad I'm still friends with him cuz he and I was through like the ringer when it came to me now well I should say she now because she's because they are trans but I do have to say she and I were through the ringer with this one friend just just because the whole he was very trying to manipulate us trying to force us to choose him as a leader of a friend when we both agreed me and her me and her or him because they sometimes go by him her but I'll call them Ace cuz regardless of gender they still go by the name Ace like the nickname. So me an ace Just went through like being emotional punching bags throwing information that we did not want to hear from this friend we didn't even ask for information we didn't even ask to be emotional punching bags for vlad's girlfriend we did not sign up for that and Ace was underage That's what pissed me off cuz that was not a good healthy relationship and me and A's confided with each other a whole lot when this happened and we haven't had you and I had a private chat showing like screenshots of what vlad said And we try to talk to him he refuses to listen and he got to the point where me and Ace were just so exhausted and it was emotional yes but it seemed the relationship between us and Vlad it wasn't healthy and I tried convincing Ace and I have finally convinced him a long time ago that we should unfriend and block Vlad and yeah ever since discord showed up and he's got me a count we blocked vlad from discord he refuses to do like the voice thing when Amina was around because we trying to make an attempt doing d&d and we only managed to do one session but now that we're in discord and we have made a lot of friends cuz joining the server yeah our lives are so much better without blood and without people like accusing me of not doing my artwork and this was before AI I just had like a weird habit back then of cutting and making paper dolls Of course I did not know about the signature thing back then and also yeah my thing is how can I write my signature on a paper doll but yeah now I'm recently hearing of amino is dead And it's for the best really because sure there were some good people but there was a lot of people to my point of view that was kind of jerks . So yeah I don't know how many years it's been since I it's been 2022 since I joined discord so it's been And I don't know how many years or this is recent that amino has been deleted so thank God

    I am gonna be honest ; I used to use Amino before and i swear its both good and bad ; its good to meet new people ; but it was also toxic and there weres so many rules which i kinda think and believe that its made by fans as well . There were so many mean people that time and toxic i got to experience friends and they even talk about me to others negatively behind my back , threats , . And honestly right now since its now shut down ; i feel so much happier and felt like been relieved . Cause that app was totally toxic .

    NOO… remember… I was Grand Jabril (that UAE countryball with sans blue eye and infinite gauntlet and MSI shield) and raiding the chatrooms… with a HELL ton of all of the world’s vulgar back when I was a kid, anime amino, Undertale amino, gacha amino, uhhh yeah, even someone back then thought I felt LTG, when it’s just silly me. I matured and didn’t have the urge to raid anymore :<

    amino was really fucked up and absolutely should be shut down but the fact that nothing was archived is criminal, me and my friends lost five fucking years of roleplay lore in the shutdown

    The idea of this app was so cool and awesome (better than discord in my opinion) but sadly it went down hill I remember the time random people would add me to group chats which was the biggest issue I had as these group chats were nsfw 🫩 I didn’t get that app to goon I got it cuz my fandoms were there and the profile changing feature for each community you joined was so good

    I was 10 on here and my girlfriend was 15 💔

    This kind of moved into me getting Discord around the same age. My mother found my Amino because my baby sister at the time accidentally clicked it. She said she thought it was a game.

    I was the co-organiser for the biggest chat in the Undertale Amino and there were multiple times that I had to talk adults out of killing themselves.

    Aside from the 15-year-old, there was an 18-year-old that liked me, protected me like a baby in public chats, and tried to “e-rape” me in an RP, whom I told my groomer about which led to the 18-year-old roleplaying PACKING HER BAGS AND LEAVING IN DMS BECAUSE SHE TOLD ME NOT TO TELL ANYONE. She called herself Neko Frisk and sometimes Hatsune Miku.

    Aside from those two, there was a gay dude that would harass me in RPs so often named Dot, and when I rejected his advances because I thought I was in a relationship he pretended to be upset and made people mad at me. Though thankfully my friends protected me. I really miss Anti—we played Skate 3 together. I miss Paint too. The only guy I did an RP with in DMs that didn’t like kids. He just liked stories and my character. 😭

    I’m aware that my groomer was also a child and probably has a mortgage now. I really hope she’s changed. I’m so glad my mother took me off Amino, because when she opened it the first message she saw was some guy saying he wants to sit on Santa’s lap and made him hard.

    Cesspool.

    I actually had so many friends over Amino’s life- I’ll admit I didn’t get into it until 2017 but I very quickly made friends I still talk to today.

    And with that, I also have enemies. Not people I’m mad at, but people who just hate my existence.

    There’s also a couple people I don’t talk to, or will never talk to, and it bums me out- like a person I knew by the name of “CTRL” who ended up passing away just a month or 2 before Amino shut down…

    Sure there was good, there was bad, but I will never forget my time on Amino. The late night calls, the communities I was in, the all out war I had with the staff of a community that lasted 4 years, it was a good time and a part of me wishes we didn’t need to say goodbye so suddonly

    Yo había dejado de entrar a Amino desde el 2023, entraba esporádica mente a saludar gente (días festivos internacionales para felicitar) y ver los chats públicos donde habían gente tóxica no más para reírme así que cuando me entere que cerró no me dolió perder información ni siquiera los conocidos pues ahí era imposible o casi imposible encontrar una amistad real

    I first found this app when I was 13 yrs old, I got to know a lot of ppl especially a guy named Anas another 1 called Bitan and a girl named Aya who was honestly the best of them all .. I deleted the app a long time ago and when I came back I found out it’s not on the Play Store anymore Tbh I’m kinda happy abt that cuz there’s no more of those immature teens arguing abt religious sects in posts "both of their religious ideas are just bullshit" 😊

    Thank god it was shutdown i used to used it from mid 2018 but after many reasons that was stressful i left in early 2021 before i turned 18 but god remembering the bad day's in amino made me glad i left it

    I wanted to revisit ace attorney amino for nostalgia’s sake. I didn’t know it shut down until today! I used to go there all the time as a teenager. It’s interesting seeing why!

    Shout out to the subliminal users community for almost making me commit suicide.

    Too many freaking incels/femcels who would bully me for things that they were manifesting too, they were manifesting relationships with celebrity crushes and I was too. Now I’m trying to recover from the aftermath of still being occasionally harassed by former members of the subliminal users amino. They were suffering from limerence for celebrity crushes and I was too, but somehow I was the bad guy because I was gay and nonbinary. Still reeling in anger when someone told me in a psychic reading on the SUA community that I was gonna pass away old and alone in a wheelchair, and when I confronted them about it, they blamed it on their ‘ex boyfriend Lucifer’. Because he spiritually interfered with the ‘reading’.

    Thank God this horrible app is taken down literally one of the worst apps I've used.
    The worst people I've seen are the Amino users but honestly that app turned into a p3do magnet as the time passed by.

    i used to be a fairly big account on vocaloid amino when it first came out and befriended several people that are well known now, also at the time i was friends with who would go on to be stomach book lol

    I only had one person who i would talk too here and there.
    the last time we talked was probably October or November and they asked if I wanted too change our conversation too a different platform but they never replied back…say January? when I came back. I realized the app was shut down and I never got to know if they were doing okay (they told me they were having personal problems) and I never got to know if they wanted too change platforms or not.

    I miss animo back when I was a freshman but after a while so many problematic people were there and plus I had work so I was never on.

    So where ever you, I hope your doing well.

    I was in art amino i had bestfriends on it during covid it kept me busy i still remember couple of their names, i even wrote a cringe ass post that i am going on break😭 and my friends literally cried coz of it, then eventually everyone became inactive i miss that time truely 😭💖

    honestly i first joined amino when i was 11, and i remember one time i was talking in a gc w my first ever group of online friends and amino was bugging so bad we couldn’t talk to each other for almost a whole day .. n im almost 20 now so amino has BEEN hanging on its last thread for years lmao. ngl im kinda bummed, it was fun despite sm toxicity i experienced there. im still in contact w 2 ppl i met off amino, would be 3 if he didnt go ghost on all social medias 😭😭

    I was an adult on amino and I got into many weird chats with people, some painfully codependent, immature, adult women who started drama for no reason.

    I got somewhat well known on crafty amino in its peak. But I stopped using it because it was infected with children posting so much eos lio balms "craft" and the quality of post was really going down due to children haah and so I stopped posting.

    I still kept the app and would occasionally check out my art and crafty amino and every time, especially on crafty, the quality went to poop, no mods, People posting literally whatever. Every visit showed how terrible it had become. Iwish I backed it up cause I checked today and it's all gone😢.

    I would log on and off for months at a time and the time I went to do my 3month check in to see it’s gone! This has so many memories for me! Does anyone know anything else that’s similar to amino?

    It's a double-edged sword for me in terms of my experiences with this Amino app.

    On the mature side, I am glad they deleted the app as it was becoming a husk of what it used to be. From weird erotic bots to the constant crashes, Amino had to go by that point.

    On the other hand, I miss it. More specifically, Wrestling Amino was my favorite. I met SO many cool people, with a handful of friends I made that I still talk to to this day. Not to mention, I got into the art of blogging because of this app's front page support (albeit scarce) with sharing talented blogs on wrestler retrospectives, PPV reviews, and such. I had some that were so good a lot of people admired I made it…is now gone, and I never got to save it over towards WordPress.

    It's unfortunate my blogs will never be recovered, but it was time for Amino to be dropped for good.

    I just found this for some answers after I checked the amino app for the first time in like…almost 8 years. I used it a lot from 2017-2019, made a bunch of friends but I did very quickly realize an app basically entirely run by children and teenagers is the most toxic place ever. Didn’t get groomed tho! So yeah gone but never forgotten, but also glad it’s dead

    Update: so There this app called Kyodo and I just find out about its 2v version so if anyone use it feel free to tell me about it

    People are trying to rebuild amino but in different name n stuff….
    Left amino in 2019 due then i made reddit acc n others eventually but one friend who be lost forever is jessie….last time i asked if they did have any socials, they said no…(i might be wrong but i wanted to comeback but i lost my acc….)

    luckily i was one of the few that wasn't interested in amino growing up despite being the cringe roleplay fandom art kid. the stories i hear from that app are more bad than good and i heard a lot of people met abusers, got groomed, or exposed to topics they shouldn't have at that age (depending on the fandom ig). this honestly prevents it from happening to newer generations so god bless i guess…
