Why did they name it the Great Depression at the time? Isn't that a bit pessimistic? Maybe if they named it The Great Happy Times everyone would have had more money.

Ah Potaoes or as my Irish Granny called them ‘thumpin stones’ because she would chase us kids down in the Woods and hit us with them at close range to teach us how to run faster. If she has used this Mushy recipe instead of uncooked ones I would have liked that better.

For a depression banana bread recipe: you will need
Banana bread recipe of choice and ingredients
A crappy old gas oven
The end result will be edible baked blob that is in no way a banana bread.
Suitable for eating while driving during work or whatever.
Basically an edible blob to prevent hunger.

I'm allergic to peanut butter so I used raisins instead. It was pretty awful.
