I understand why they would drag her off stage as laws and regulations govern how, where, and when political speech is allowed. In a government setting as a government approved speaker speaking against the government is not one of them. She was a government approved speaker at a government held gathering. Now everywhere else at any other time she is free to do that if and when she pleases just not at a government function which you student graduation ceremony for high school is one.
The school system is not allowed to take either side of any political issue nor look like it is. Having her say that on stage makes it seem like it is taking a side in a political issue.

Now should her diploma be withheld? That is complicated but if she passed all the required tests at most all they can do is go over all her testing to look for ways she might have cheated and if no cheating is found in the more thorough review of her testing then she will get her diploma.

North Carolina is the state where the GOP is stripping elected Democrats of the powers of the office to which they were elected. These people are beyond saving.

Sue the hell out of them in civil court for violating your first amendment rights, physical assault, and file a criminal case against them for assault!

Well done to her. I hope she stays safe within her community. I wish she would have said the rest of her speech in her post. I'm glad she had some support from other students and one administrator. Withholding these students diplomas is complete B.S. This administration is misusing their power, it is disgraceful. I wonder whether the one administrator will loose their job. Those supporting her need to apply pressure for her and her friend to receive their diplomas. If she is forced to wait for a year to receive her diploma the pressure should be kept up for that entire year. I'm sure they will try and find a reason to expel her beforehand. I wonder if there is an independent appeal process she can undertake, preferably in another state. Good luck to her and her friend.

Gee, it shame, the students liked what she was saying. Freedom of speech, was taken away from her. Wrong, she not try start a riot or using foul language. She was only talking about what is going on in the world. I have other speech that said something close, but the news talked how great their speech. Shame on her school boardand principal, shame!

First, let me congratulate you, young lady, on your graduation๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ. You are a force that cannot be restrained. Your voice speaks for the voiceless, and the world is taking notice.
Choosing to raise awareness on a day that should have been entirely about your achievement speaks volumes about your character. It shows the strength of your heart, the conviction in your spirit, and the purpose that runs through your veins.
Thank you for being a shining light in this world. Your parents must be immensely proud of the remarkable person you have become.๐Ÿ•Š๏ธโœŠ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡น

You two are now famous. You because of your courage and intelligence and Old Mother Hubbard for being a supporter of genocide, child trafficking , racism, corruption and incompetence. The school officials are worried that their privilege that got them their positions will be exposed be their educational and societal incompetence.

You go giโ€ฆsorry young lady!!! ๐Ÿ’™
