Pierce, Buchanan, Wilson, and Nixon could be seen as authoritarian in some ways now. Wilson and his cabinet actually segregated the federal workforce were black people could actually safely apply to work before him. Pierce and Buchanan passed and enforced slave catching laws that violated free states’ rights. Nixon fired a federal prosecutor for opening the watergate investigation.

JJ…. Reading the comments you lit a fire under the lefties.
I personally like PragerU because it pushes back against the non stop agitprop that comes out of universities, media and Hollywood.

Wow this guy must be a child mentally by all the toys in the background really no adult stuff. And how is dress very dapper. I don't agree with everything in prager's book but this guy is just throwing his total biased opinion

    few things to note
Actually surprised they admit that Biden won the 2020 election and talk about Jan. 6th.
PragerU has a tendency to both admit the faults of older times but also make light of it. I remember the Christopher Columbus video where he admits that he enslaved people, but it was more preferable than the death that they faced in their own lands.
As someone that's worked in public education in a very conservative state, I haven't really noticed any massive condemmings or fluff pieces, though I did work early education.
Lastly, Epic Rap Battles of History said it the best, "Man you did some good things, I ain't denying your fame, I'm just saying they need to put an asterisk next to your name."

I used to listen to Dennis Praeger on the radio and really bought into the impression he was then cultivating of being a nice rational moderate. I've long since overcome that illusion 🧐😆

Fun fact: A blizzard in the mountain regions of California supressed the turn out to the point that it cost Roosevelt the state and thus the election.

I appreciate your attempt at an honest, open-minded review of the book. Over 10 years ago I used to follow PragerU and agreed with quite a bit of what they shared, but as they moved more towards identity politics and blatant partisanship I had to step away from their channel. However, the basic idea of their initiative stayed with me and it's something I can agree with: teachjng civics to people who might not have had a civics education yet, or ever. I try to integrate that with my undergraduate courses whenever I can and they seem really interested once the topic is brought up.

Haha prayger u “come get a community college education, but without any useful trade skills when you graduate!” Most of our graduates join i.c.e. Upon receiving their diploma.

Obviously the book is full of a bunch of nonsense, but I do find it funny that even PragerU can't bring itself to pretend that the 2020 election was fraudulent or that Trump wasn't responsible for sending the rioters to the Capitol on January 6.

PragerU: "we are going to make a book about the presidents that treats them fairly within the context of their time, and without being partisan.
Also PragerU: Fails about halfway through the project.

I am going to write two books to solve this:

    Why Every President is Amazing

and Why Every President is Shit

Each will go over the good and bad qualities of each President.

1:01 Bitch where? Cause the last time I remember feeling like this country might have a chance was when Biden was president.

Make no mistake, I don't like the guy, but at least he wasn't reenacting 1930s Germany.

"Oh wow, an interesting video about PragerU, I wonder how -"

"I agree leftists and wokeness is destroying America."

Lmao. No idea why I am getting suggested right wingers.

I have not done a single conservative to explain how Barack Obama was extremely divisive and stoked racial tensions. If you wanna see putting discrimination to the forefront again is considered divisive then I guess I will highly disagree with you. Just having a conversation about racism in America should not be divisive, but I feel like that talking point was brought up recently because of Trump‘s opinion on Obama he wouldn’t have won a second term in a landslide if he truly was that divisive

@4:18 im going to stop you right there. When i criticize Thomas Jefferson, and others, for owning slaves im not doing that through modern day morality, I'm doing that through his own sense of morality, even ignoring the growing sense of abolationism in the country, though even larger in other countries, most noticeably in South American countries after they sucefully gained independance from Spain.

"A man's moral sense must be unusually strong if slavery does not make him a theif."

"Nothing is more certainly written in the book of fate than that these people are to be free."

And of course the wonderful combination of, "We have the wolf by the ears, we can neither hold him, nor safely let him go. Justice is in one scale, and self preservation in the other." Along side, "I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery."

All quotes by Thomas Jefferson. A man who freed seven of his 620 slaves, and two of those were his children.

TF? Dude is doing NG the most passive aggressive anti woke slavery apologetics, not enlightened at the time? Slavery was wrong day dot, any day in history slavery is wrong

No more biased than most history text my Leftwing college teachers assigned me. Objective facts are those we all agree on. You can not censor Republican narratives of events and claim a monopoly on truth like some dark age theocracy or Orwellian police state which is the road to the People's Temple mass suicide cult no Republican was stupid enough to drink the kool-aid in.

    May 29, 2026 at 9:32 am

    "We tried to be fair."
Also PragerU: "Hey hey hey, we only used 10 different slurs when writing the portion about Obama! That was the best we could do!"

Yeah, if I'm going to hate on Wilson it's going to be for stuff like showing "Birth of a Nation" in the White House and the Sedition Act of 1918. I will temper that with an appreciation of legue of nations stuff.
