I've seen leopard seals in person. They are absolutely dino-like. But the thing is they are smart and rather curious. Not stupidly aggressive. Calculating almost. In all honesty, they are amazing, but should absolutely be a 'watch from the distance and wish they had a good lunch' type. Otherwise they might consider their options and Fido is an option.

I haven't seen the criticism about you that you talked about, so you'll have to take this opinion with a grain of salt. In my opinion you're extremely funny, and educational. Unfortunately you can't please everybody, and a lot of people are always looking for something to get mad at, so they'll never engage in good faith.

I think you've done a good job of balancing the jokes and making sure to remind us they're wild animals being wild animals. We'll never know what it's like to live like them, and make decisions like them so we can't moralize them.

I wonder if that strange illness all 3 of the seals died from are why ww can't keep them in a zoo or sanctuary setting? Kind of like how we can't bring up and keep super deep sea creatures (blobfish, certain types of octopus, etc) because taking them out of the deep /cold/high pressure environment will kill them? Just curious.

Also, them playing the saxophone and seeing Casey swim happily and enjoying it was wholesome AF.😊

Your videos kick arse, and the sourpusses who are bashing them are probably chronically constipated. It's easy to be grumpy when you can't poop for a long enough time.🤣

Also, you're fine. Putting people's issues about personifying animals on you is unfair. That problem predates you by hundreds of thousands of years. Furthermore, the fact people are so gullible these days and easily swayed I think is a symptom of a much bigger issue that a guy cracking jokes on animals could never be responsible for. Lack of Internet literacy and critical thinking skills is an issue that can be better attributed to how poorly funded education is. Plus other things I'm sure. No way are you guilty of it. Anyone saying otherwise needs a hobby since clearly they have too much time on their hands.

I hope the hate doesn’t get to you so much, your animal videos are entertaining and informative and I can tell you respect them by acknowledging the good and the bad of the animals you mention. Keep your chin up man and keep loving animals šŸ‘šŸ¾

Animals deserve respect not fear or fear’s cousin(hate) — these videos help me balance my ā€œthis is friend-shaped, let’s it petā€ response….

i love these videos. Animals are beautiful AND dangerous. The more facts we know the more we can admire from afar. Reality is not always pretty, but I rather know these things than not, and im smarter for it. So Thanks CG. I also grew up learning about animals cuz i loved them so much, but thats why these videos are good, No Touch Danger Puppies!

I always find these videos super interesting and informative. These give me a new appreciation and respect for the animals you cover. Hope you can just forget about twitter. People using that hellsite to complain are idiots with megaphones who have never done anything interesting in their lives. Keep up the awesome work.

I love the way you present these facts humorously and i have never felt like theyre "demonizing" or "fear mongering" as long as ive watched. Passion for wildlife demands a respect of even the most gruesome facts, especially in the face of potentially mortally dangerous animals. I havent yet taken the first steps towards it but I have a goal of returning to school for biology to work in conservation to some capacity, admittedly im somewhat lost, but working on it, and your content is a huge motivator for me. Dont listen to the haters.

Youre doing great! Youre always understanding and empathetic, no matter the context. Those who genuinely appreciate your content know exactly what you mean! Keep up the awesome work ā¤

Your videos are great. I hardly ever comment on videos but I find you knowledgeable and entertaining. I watch your videos about big cats, crocs, animals that can kill me cause I love those animals but I then watch your videos on orcas, red pandas and so on not cause I love those animals but because you give info in a creative and fun way. So dont stop, ever

That animal is way too cute for me to get into the horror mood the video is trying to set up.

    Kind of like a bear.

Sure i understand the danger and power these animals have, but if a human gets attacked by one, i'm going to blame the human, not the animal.

Well if people choose to use twitter, that says everything on the value of their opinion you need to know i guess.
stay cool, your videos and your style are just freaking awesome my friendā¤

The aussie gator oil-checker fans love nature so much to want to punch trapped animals. How on earth the 'it's ok to study nature as if animals were toys' message was allowed to be divulged is beyond me.

I watched all the way through. And I understand comedy, creative liberty, and entertainment. Not everybody can understand that. But a few of us do, try not to let it bother you too badly, just enjoy making the content you like and loving animals man.

  17. @smolboi7092

    May 22, 2026 at 7:37 pm

I dont feel like you demonize them. You frequently say that they're just animals surviving. They way you describe animals is in the name of making the video entertaining. Its not your fault if people aren't able to tell if you're joking.

  18. @moleyface

    May 22, 2026 at 7:37 pm

I love all seals, but I admit the leopard seal's look put it kind of low on the list of more conventionally "cute" species… until I saw that story with one feeding a diver penguins. Then I warmed up to them so fast. Yes, they still command a healthy amount of fear and yes I would never want to be in the water with one, but they are so astonishingly smart with such a complex inner world that it's impossible not to love them.

I really hope we get to learn more about them because it seems like every new discovery gives us more to appreciate.

Marine biologist here, yeah pretty sure they can smell our qualification and that has me avoiding any place this thing is (I'm also British so I have a 2x weakness)

Dang, I have not watched your channel in a long time, I must admit. Catching up with your past couple months worth of videos right now, and the production quality has not gone down one bit. I finished the first semester of Biology in college this year, hope to be up there with your level of knowledge some day.

  21. @bionic2250

    May 22, 2026 at 7:37 pm

i think anyone who actually watches your video with an open mind can see that you love animals and don't seek to demonize them. sometimes people just come into it with a preconceived idea of how they think you're going to talk about them, and then blame you for their inability to see past that

  22. @Odium_DOB

    May 22, 2026 at 7:37 pm

still terrifying, animal I mean they're gonna animal. and we're human we subconsciously, regardless, apply human traits. Typically, this seal feels terrorifying and sadistic in its behavior, akin to how humans who are hunting are sadistic. They should be respected and we let experts handel things. We're humans we are dumb dumbs who should take the idea of creatures being sadistic even if overblown idea as nothing more than a reason to back away and leave animals alone.

Specifically about the last bit of the video, some of those critiques could be true from certain lens I guess. No person is perfect.

But just in case you even check comments my guy, you gotta remember that Twitter is also one of the most miserable platforms devised by man and THRIVES off of negativity.

You could be a pure good Samaritan that solved all of the world's problems and some mf there with a blue check would still get 100k likes for comparing you to a national tragedy.
