Always check your labels.
I was looking for cat food and came across "natures promise, complete essentials cat food"
it has all the buzz words "no grain, no artificial flavors or synthetic colors" etc
i read the ratios fat/protien/carbs..
it's dog food 😠

interesting how far too many in society live fake lives due to being on social media and keeping up with every current trend yet want the corporations who make the garbage crap they claim is food more natural.
i will never go out of my way to choose what food to eat due to a companys latest gotcha brag because it just gives 'we were forced to make this change due to seeing significant potential growth in profit' no corporation ever decides to change a product without a rising $ figure reason behind it. PERIOD.
they will never hold a meeting with whatever idiots come up with the tarded jargon or higher up or whoever and agree to going through all the necessary steps to change a product no matter how much it could potentially help society. IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE PROFIT GROWTH OR IT'S OUT OF FEAR.

I have actually been an advocate for the idea that the most important thing for judging food health is the macros. I would suppose however doritos have nowhere near the amount of fiber needed to offset the simple carbs. Doritos is mostly simple carbs and salt. Compare that to an actual healthy chip like quest.
I have never actually liked the natural or processed term because it does tell you anything. Is it natural like cocain or is it processed like almonds? If things like taste buds did not exist the healthiest food would be ultra processed. Separating foods products and isolating the important macros and vitamins then recombining them into human dog food.

Over a year ago I got hit with an auto-immune disorder where I've become extremely sensitive to processed foods, especially seed oils. I gotta say I really love your channel because this journey has put me under a lot of scrutiny from my in-laws, but listening to your research and knowledge on these issues has really helped validate this experience. Thank you!

The reason vital farms sales are plummeting is because every one found out they sold out and they’re eggs aren’t really grass fed. I was willing to pay more to eat healthier but when I found out they were charging me a premium on false claims I stopped buying them too.

Doritoes are DEFINTELY NOT what they were even ten years ago!!! Man, I LOVE THEM – at least in the past tense! I can TASTE the new chemical additives, but I suppose the bright side is that I no longer eat a whole huge bag in one go 🤷😂

Lays chips r no where near where they were when they were made form NYS potatoes. First Pepsi bought it and then the nematodes did in growing potatoes here western NYS and they stop making them here. I know that the kind of potato used to make chips can make them dif but not a dif as what they r now. How read can it be to cut a potato very thin and fire it and add a little salt. Now if u want a good potato chip try Charles they r the best in the world by far. At one time they were made in a little factory in Avoca NY from potatoes grown within 10 miles of it. Now I ODNT KNOW WHERE THE FACTORY IS RO WHAT POTATOES THEY SUE BUT WHEN i WANT A POTATO CHIPO i GO FOR THEM AND ONLY THEM.

Prices for junk food have increased over 100% in the last 10 years. People are still buying full priced $2 candy bars that used to regularly sell for 50¢. I swear if they charged $5 each these people would still buy it.

artificial can claim it wont hurt you.
But… health has been.. not as good since we started putting it in everything.
Correlation? Sure.
Causation? maybe.
Products made the same way we do in the US in other countries? Not really. They banned most of that stuff.. for some reason.

I don't hate chips / corn-snacks (cheetohs, etc.), but the value to price is extremely weak. I could get probably 2-3 containers of ice cream snacks / frozen fruit bars for the price of 1 jumbo bag of name brand junk food snacks. That's like a 5-10x difference in cost per satisfying snacking session. A jumbo "sharing size" bag of junk food snacks should realistically cost like $2.80 if these companies want me to even occasionally buy them when I am looking for an indulgent snack. Even then, I will rarely choose them.
As for soda, if I am going to put an unhealthy beverage into my body, then I am choosing alcohol. I'd always prefer a beer over soda. The only soda I drink is minor amounts as mixer with liquor.

image if we force them to put the release chemical names and remove the lawsuits saying they can say synthetic as natural. milk must say the animal it came from, and corn would have to say the species, and red40 would say (crude oil – Disodium 6-hydroxy-5-[(2-methoxy-5-methyl-4-sulfonatophenyl)diazenyl]naphthalene-2-sulfonate)

Beware many products show zero/lower added sugar in nutrition label. Many times they are not required to add Dextrin/LiquidGlucose/similar things which are high GI and they market the product as NOW WITH LESS SUGAR!
In Stevia/Monkfruit products they add Erythritol which are linked to heartattacks!

"Profit is just the indicator of what the [car buying] consumer values." He's got that almost completely backwards. The profit is in making giant expensive cars, not cheap little efficient ones. The profit is in requiring monthly oil changes and other maintenance, not in EVs which almost never need to go to the shop.
People in the US buy giant trucks and SUVs because they've been brainwashed into believing they're safer and cooler and that we need them for our bad roads.
That last one has a nugget of truth, but the answer to crumbling roads isn't give everyone 5000lb rock crawlers, it's to properly fund road maintenance and stop giving contracts to the families of politicians.

The pullback on electric cars is mostly only happening in the US, and even that is reversing thanks to the spike in gas prices. Mostly due to FUD ruckers, misinformation, and a lack of support.
Biden's admin was building the green power and charging stations, but permits take a while so Mr. T could point to that lack of progress and pretend nothing was happening then illegally claw back the funding Biden admin's bills.
I've been electric for 7 years now, never going back to gas.
I drive a Bolt, great little car. If I had money I'd get an EV6 or Ioniq 5. The Telo looks awesome, hope it makes it to market. If BYD or other China based brands ever get sold in America it's over for American makers who are so far behind the times IDK if they'll ever catch up.

Fiber is not needed in the human diet. For ANYTHING. Fiber is what causes constipation. Fiber can not be digested. Which is one of the reasons IT CAUSES CONSTIPATION.
Fiber does not help with ANY HEALTH ISSUES. All such studies are fabrication. Made up. No studies have been done at all. Having said that, I need to make a disclaimer. No scientific studies have been done. There has been plenty of epidemiology done on nutrition. But no scientific studies at all, done on nutrition. Because these can not be done ethically. But what’s wrong with epidemiological studies? Why are they not good. Well, there are good. If they are used for what epidemiology is used for. Finding associations. That’s it. Does an association mean you found the cause? No. It simply means you found what is associated with ‘whatever’. And that is a lot of whatever. For instance, in the 1970’s I remember someone making a point about such things being useless. And they made a great point. They used epidemiology to prove what caused all cancers. Having a telephone. Absolutely everyone, that was being treated for cancer, any cancer, ANY CANCER, had a telephone in their home. Everyone of them. Hence that proved the telephones caused cancer.
That’s the same thing with nutrition science. There is very little science involved. Just epidemiology. Which is more opinion than science.
Epidemiology is used to find ALL associations with a problem. ALL. For heart disease, this is the reason LDL is associated with CVD. It does not cause heart disease, it is simply an association. If you ignore all other associations you might think it causes this. But that is not how epidemiology works. It gives you the associations. Which you can form a theory on. THEN YOU TEST EACH THEORY. But they never test said theories. They did half the work and have their answer. Good enough to get a paper out of it. That’s all they wanted.
And that’s modern nutrition. Exposed. For being the lying sacks of shit that they are.
