LinkedIn hustle culture has completely lost its mind.

Hi there hello.

Today we’re taking another look at the absolute lunatics of LinkedIn, where every normal life event can become a leadership lesson, a productivity flex, or a very serious post about business. From CEOs trying to control employees’ PlayStations, to people logging on from hospital beds and wedding days, to AI-generated LinkedIn posts full of corporate nonsense, this video explores what happens when work becomes everyone’s whole personality.

I did not log in to LinkedIn for any of this. I have a doctor’s note.

Linked in is trash as a trash gets. for my job search or upgrades i never relied on it.
i still have a well paid well timed job. upgraded 3 times and its a platform i consider dont need to exist.

Sometimes I have to use linkedin for something, and without fail I always end up wanting to kill myself after a second of use. By far the worst social media platform

In the early 2020s all the power was with employees… but 5 years later the pendulum has swung hard to the employers… right now they can pretty much demand anything they want and people will do it to either get a job or keep a job… but it will swing back the other way again. Right now all those unemployed tech workers will be reorganizing into new start up companies… and a lot of these "AI First" non-sense companies like Block will be facing serious competition. It's never been easier to start a new company and in the next 1-3 years the pendulum should swing back the other way. LinkedIn is just a reflection of all of this. Thanks Ryan!

LinkedIn is now just AI slop, insane people thanking companies who fired them after sacrificing their life and family for the company the last decade, reposting someone else's post which was also AI slop or bootlicking to the company that just fired you.

No context. Maybe the fella was working remote and messing on his playstation instead of doing work during work hours, and CEO was not dictating his private life. No point rambling on about something that probably never happened.

Recruitment "experts" tell me to refresh my LinkedIn profile. I suppose that's useful.

But everything else there is just a circlejerk of people hoping desperately to get hired based on their LinkedIn cred.

That first comment worries me as to why the CEO even knows the employee is playing their PlayStation…

Also, I have ensured I don't add coworkers to my PlayStation because if I call out "sick" and want to use the console (and that can even just be to use Netflix on it), I don't need anyone at the office knowing. I know you can make it look like you're offline, but I find it risky regardless, lol.

01:55 Ok truthfully though, a big CEO (or fake / mock CEO) satire account actually making those kind of critical and plost-twist reflective posts would be a sight to see.

I liked it when LinkedIn was about businesses connecting. But apparently it’s now about everyone’s personal lives cos Facebook and instagram is no longer a thing…. apparently 😑

When you see how much small apendage (I can't use the word as YouTube blocks it) energy there is on LinkedIn, and then when I watch Patrick Boyle take apart all the tech bros who have lost billions, it all makes sense.

Work to live, not live to work. It's fine to be dedicated to your job in a healthy manner, but that's a personal life decision and not one you should be making for someone else. Not wanting to work 70+ hours a week and spend every waking moment doing or thinking about your job doesn't make you lazy. No one should ever have to sacrifice their entire personal lives just to make ends meet or to have a professional career.

I like to use that site to make employers think I give a damn, other than that I dont update and let the world know how I make my money and the sum of my degrees.

    Linked In:

    33% ceo lunatics

33% unemployed people posting the most basic tech stuff as if it is the second comming of Jesus

33% hr/life coach ex burned out people giving one fit sollution to a burn out while every burn out is different given the personality

Personally I use linked in to give suble jabs at my employer.

Employer: we will go direction A

Me on LinkedIn: top 10 reasons why direction b is the best direction.

Linkedin is that online forum where corporate sociopaths can come together and share stories about how they want to (and do) treat employees as subhuman, worthless automatons that should absolutely not be allowed to have lives outside of work, (I mean, how dare they?!?).
