There's something so genuinely funny to me about old people saying that technology is about connection when they quite literally lived through some of the best connective times in recent memory. When my grandmother was growing up there were street parties and you went to your neighbor's house all the time and there was so much genuine community connection and help and support and now that's all dead for a lot of places and a lot of people

Revisiting this 2 years later and it feels like you really nailed everything about how dystopian the launch of this was. I find it quite funny how the vision quest has gone no where and is basically a dead product at the same time Facebook is finally admitting their metaverse was a wet fart and no one wants to use either of them. Everyone should feel schadenfreude when megacorps fail. You make such great videos Eddy, thank you.

I tried vr and honestly… I mean it was cool yeah but. I didn’t like it that much; especially in terms of video games. I just prefer desktop/keyboard/controller over vr induced nausea lol. That and vrchat was way to weird for me 😂
