I moved to South Florida from NJ. I live where all the rich Jewish people from NY come for the winter time and retirement. A lot have opened delis and restaraunts, and I can say the bread is aleays way better back home. Theres one olace that has rolls like up north, but thats because they get them shipped down from Philly every couple days

Yea I don't believe in the celebrity mentality. A person is a persona to me. Be it Johnny Depp or Christopher Maloney. They are just people. They just have a job that makes more than me that is it. People have fallen over celebrities creep me the hell out cuz it's like bro that's another human being and you're just acting f**** weird. Yeah they were in a movie or a show but that's their f**** job. That's it. If they televised live factory workers here in the U.S I guarantee there'll be a lot more celebrities in the world.

As someone who grew up in Connecticut (sorry) who now lives in New York with parents obsessed with Boston the main difference in the accents is New York makes vowels rounded by adding like an “aw” sound to them and Boston has more stretched airy vowels like “ah”. A New Yorker would say the word “pocket” like “paw-cket” and Bostonian like “pah-cket”

I dated 2 New Yourker's they did the "I'm good at being mean" well. One was a nyc jew so she also complained about every F'ing thing. Now I'm married to a woman from Boston and she's the best. I'm from Chicago.
Idk what the point is but stop being assholes?

Born in Boston. Lived in LA for 13 years. Lots of family and friends in NY. I almost moved there! But I'm kinda glad I didn't. I love visiting. One of my favorite places to visit. (I'm big into Broadway and museums and stuff.) I have vague dreams of being bicoastal, but I could never live there full-time. You didn't mention real estate, but mansion money in Iowa gets you a closet in Manhattan.

Been to NYC 4-5 times. It's absolutely over-hyped, BUT I would also say it's worth going to hit the highlights at least once. Go to a Broadway show, eat a slice of pizza on the street, and go to a famous tall building to see the city from up high. It's a good time but there are PLENTY of other places to go, especially if the popular NYC things aren't for you…. Imagine that, nyc just like everything else is subjective lol, crazy

You don’t. Newyork card doesn’t get passed no more. Transplants don’t even stay no more. They just come help make everything more expensive because they willing to pay whatever and leave -_-
