There is the part where a lot of the US's bullshit was tolerated because it was balanced out by being of use to the other countries of the world. "Yeah the US started another war in the Middle East but at least they're a sturdy bulwark against Russia" sort of thing, or "yeah they're supporting Genocide in Gaza but at least there's all those programs and grants through USAID that we can't afford to lose by upsetting them" and so on.
Since Trump took office, the balancing act went out the window, the US started actively antagonizing allies and now nobody wants to put up with the bullshit. Adversaries are fine with this kind of behavior and encourage it and previous allies have had enough and so… who is there to rely on when your policies are supported only by cult members who would be on your side no matter what?
