New Data from Juno Shows Something Strange on Jupiter
Jupiter is the ruler we use to measure other planets.
When astronomers find a giant planet orbiting a distant star, the first thing they do is compare it to Jupiter. Its mass is given in Jupiter masses. Its radius is given in Jupiter radii. Its interior is modelled by adapting equations originally written for Jupiter. Every assumption baked into our understanding of the largest planet in our own solar system gets carried, quietly, into our understanding of thousands of worlds we will never visit.
Which means that for the last decade, every exoplanet model has been working from a flawed reference.

I wonder if a large comet or a dwarf planet hit Jupiter were the red spot is and possible it could have hit a century or two before its Discovery by telescope and it's finally settling down?

Do you think this strange structure could be a clue that Jupiter's inner workings are far more complex than we imagine?

I have understood that the Gas Giants dont have a rocky/solid core. That they are dense gasses under pressure until they become liquid (extremely dense and hot liquid, but liquid none the less)

Jupiter is the finest example of why "scientists" don't know anything. Everything they believe is "theory," only they treat it as near fact 😂

When the truth comes out; its going to be revealed that every planet and alot of moons are inhabited with creatures that look alot like us; only way smarter! Jupiter , saturn, etc are not just gas and liquid; theyr all solid underneath those clouds, and full of life!! just wait a few yrs and you will see; remeber these words!!

My quickly formed assumption about the difference between the north and south poles is that there are probably several semi-stable configurations possible. The one found at any given time depends on the exact history. I called them "semi-stable" in the same way our planetary orbits appear stable.
