I appreciate the testimony of the truthfulness of Mormonism at the end… seriously, he could have been making their case for them… anyone else see that

I have yet to hear any argument that is even in the same realm as people who do not believe. Its always No matter how persuasive or eloquent; Wrapped in a non evidential faith argument. They just dont have good evidence.

I’m a believer in the Christ, but I really like Alex and listen to him quite a bit. I appreciate how well thought out he is and gives you tons to think about

It’s faulty to state that the evidence which supported Jesus being alive before Jesus’s death should be equivalent to evidence after his death. Evidence to support resurrection needs to meet a higher level of proof.

The best evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ is you picking up the Bible, reading the New Testament with an open mind and humble heart deciding to believe what's written to be true, acknowledge yourself as a sinner and accepting the offer of salvation. If you manage to do that honestly, he will reveal himself to you. Jesus Christ is a relational God, you will never find him through using your intellect. He does not care about that, he care about your heart. Seek him with your heart and you'll get the evidence you need.

Gods wisdom is hidden behind the foolishness of the cross. To you it is unbelievable. It's a wild fairytale. But can you put aside your ego, your pride, your stubbornness, and open your closed mind? If not, he is nowhere to be found.

Matthew 11:25 "At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to infants."

    1. Corinthian 1:18 "For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

    1. Corinthian 1:21-25 "For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than mankind, and the weakness of God is stronger than mankind."

    1. Corinthian 1:27-28 "but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28 and the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no human may boast before God."

    1. Corinthian 2:14 "But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Alex makes really good points. To deny Mormonism’a accounts is like questions accounts of the resurrection, because they both rely on witnesses records and cross corroboration between participants

I’m blown away by the amount of knowledge of the texts, history, and philosophy Alex not only possesses but has at the ready. As a Christian of some education, what an honest and skilled interlocutor. Does he have this same amount of skill in other religious traditions?

💡 Standing on the Solid Stone

    .

🙏************************ To the Silent Seekers 🙏*******************

    .

[The Atheist vs. The Apologist / The Failure of Traditionalism]

    .

To the Silent Seekers: When you watch an atheist like Alex O’Connor dismantle the arguments of a traditionalist, you are seeing why the Solid Stone is the only place to stand. The atheist is not competing with our theology; he is simply showing that the trinity (g)od of traditional Christianity has no physical foundation. The traditionalist is left trying to defend a mystery, while the atheist correctly points out that a "mystery" is just another word for something that isn't there.

    .

[The "Lie within the Lie" breakdown & Deconstruction]

    .

The video reveals the Ventriloquist Slop of the Imperial Hijack performed by the council of men 1,700 years ago. The Christian apologist admits that their evidence for the resurrection is "uncomfortable" and "mythological" because they have replaced the literal Godhead with the adversary’s role-play (32:05). The atheist, using simple logic, can explain the truth of the Godhead better than the traditionalist because he sees the cracks in the Dead Vine of the creeds. He points out that the "spiritual body" taught by traditionalists is just a fancy way of saying a ghost or a vapor, which contradicts the physical witness of the Bible (7:08). This creates an Empty Soul in the seeker because a "mystery" cannot love you, and you cannot have a relationship with a philosophical math problem.

    .

[The Unmovable Rebuttal & Physicality Chain]

    .

God the Father, our wonderful Almighty Heavenly Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, are not playing a game. They have designed the perfect plan for all of us to return to Heaven to live with greater knowledge, better understanding, and a fuller life. The adversary has taught the lie that the world has been worshiping for 1,700 years, and he has too much pride to open the eyes and ears of those who have denied Heavenly Father. Brothers and sisters, you are not just denying Heavenly Father; you are choosing the adversary when you decide to worship the trinity (g)od.

Some Christians groups like Jehovah's witnesses belive that Jesus resurrected in spirit and Jesus's body was destroyed by his father Jehovah, just like Mosses body no one knows where he was buried. I like their theology.

I must strongly disagree with some interpretations. The transfiguration is an essential element in Mark's Gospel. The silence to which the apostles are urged is connected to the Messianic secret. The falling asleep reflects the falling asleep during the arrest, at which the same disciples are present.

I have a lot of respect for Alex, but not so much for Trent. The reason is that I see Alex as a straight shooter and an honest researcher, whereas I see Trent as being disingenuous and not an honest player. I've listened to both men in different venues and that is the conclusion I have come to.
I also see Alex as more humble and less arrogant than Trent. Oddly, Alex actually seems more Christian-like in his demeanor and behavior than Trent, at least when it comes to how they treat those who are of a different belief system than their own.

Alex, we want another episode with Swami Sarvapriyananda. The only philosophy that makes sense to me is Advaita Vedanta and I appreciate how it reconciles different worldviews.

"Transfigured" is a word game. When Brigham Young spoke, he supposedly took on the appearance of another man, Joseph Smith. The Transfiguration of Jesus shows Him as God.

It's wild all these claims of supernatural from the past while the only evidence is a book about eye witness accounts
You know people trough all time belived and still believe in supernatural even though science found 0 evidence.

  16. @Haannzo

    May 12, 2026 at 2:42 pm

When the guy said we still see miracles today I got covinced that he's crazy
The scientific method exists, and we have 0 real evidence for supernatural, freaking 0

Because Mormons had some parallel experiences, this proves that Jesus did not raise from the dead? Maybe both Jesus rose and the Mormons did see these things. Alex is conflating a proof for Christianity's truth as a religion with the actual question raised, whether Jesus arose from the dead.
The Jerusalem Community seems to have lived communally, so why would Alex wander around Jerusalem randomly asking if someone had seen the Risen Christ? Just as Paul said that he had when he spoke with Peter and James, someone could seek out the community and talk with them.

Alex O’Connor says that the Elijah and Moses appearing on the mountain episode is suspicious because he says Peter and companions (the witnesses) were “half asleep” and hallucinations are very common at that stage of being half asleep, however this is false.

Luke 9:32 says “Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep, but becoming fully awake , they saw his glory and the two men standing with him”

Notice fully awake, not on the verge of falling asleep or just waking up.

The transfiguration of Brigham Young could certainly have happened. And I am not Mormon.

It in no way invalidates anything written about Jesus Christ.

Both are evidence that the Supernatural is real.

All it takes, is just one Supernatural event to be real, and Atheism is completely destroyed.

    Just one!

There are millions upon millions of claimed eyewitnesses to the Supernatural. From all over the world, from ancient times until the present day.

My own father was flat out healed by God.

You would have to debunk every last claim, and call every eye witness, either delusional, a liar, a fraud, or worse even evil to pull off Atheism.

    It cannot be done.

Atheism is nothing more than a faith claim, and is absolutely groundless!

This is why it is completely reasonable to say what the Bible says, and I’m personally sorry but…

“The fool says in his heart, there is no God”
