The Melania Comparison Trump Won’t Like: Wolff | Inside Trump’s Head

The Daily Beast | May 11, 2026

Michael Wolff and Joanna Coles dive headfirst into the chaos consuming Donald Trump’s world—from the unraveling Iran conflict and Trump’s desperate declarations of “victory” to the political panic spreading from Washington to Westminster. Wolff compares Trump’s crumbling Middle East strategy to his increasingly performative marriage with Melania, while Coles unpacks how Jeffrey Epstein’s shadow is now destabilizing British politics and weakening Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The two also dissect Trump’s obsession with revenge, the bizarre loyalty he still commands inside the Republican Party, and the surreal spectacle of Usha Vance and Cheryl Hines starring in what may be the most uncomfortable political podcast ever created. Along the way: Rudy Giuliani’s tragic downfall, RFK Jr.’s increasingly strained marriage, Trump’s looming China trip, and the growing sense that the people orbiting Trump always end up paying the price.

As far as the war with Iran goes the American people may be "tired of winning" to remind everyone of one of the slogans that won Trump not one but two Presidential elections. Do the American people not realise that this is their biggest problem, that they are "tired of winning"? If you never thought that the American people are the ultimate suckers, you have to now.

My favorite michale wolff narrativr regarding Trump world was his account of steve bannon's "This is how I met Paul Manafort"……michael deserves a nobel prize of literature just for that narrative

What's happening to starmer is exactly what everyone warned about years ago. If you as a leader SHIT on the majority of your party and voters while pulling to the right, don't be f-g surprised WHEN THEY DON'T VOTE FOR YOU. It's not Einstein territory here.

My guess is that the Administration thought Cheryl Hines wasn't humiliated enough by being ignored by RFK Jr's security at the WHC Dinner, so made her appear with Usha. For poor Usha, it's just one more humiliation imposed by JD

I think Keir Starmer's basic problem is his lack of Charisma. He looks like a railways clerk. If the economy was going really well that would be forgiven but since it isn't, everyone turned on him.

At the beginning of the broadcast we have Micheal Wolff's awkward attempt at "nicities" in welcoming back Joanna…. and then, soon after, he tells us Giuliani will soon be dead in the same he'd tell us he just ate a bologna sandwich.

How could people be so devoted to a pedophile, what he has done to this country, gas prices, food prices and he makes his family and him rich, oh and what ice has been doing. The highest amount of money going out, but take away benefits for America. What is the matter with their minds!!!

22:00 wait are you saying that Melania has been holding Trump up the whole time and got him his career and that Russia by manipulating the media got him in power but Melania is actually in charge? Because that would make sense why she seems so distracted and doesn't actually care about her "projects" or that he "projects" are hollow

Like it's always seemed like she was a flat decoration but she amd many other Eastern women were kind of speckled all over powerful Western men…. is all this a puppet show and the women are the marionettes and then they're all Russian asstes

No wonder Put9in looks so smug

Well, JD, Erika's available. Just a bit of a tight schedule to shape up for 2028…

    1. Humiliate wife enough for her to initiate divorce.
    2. Accept, claiming to be the innocent party.
    3. Marry Erika (white, non-Hindu), fellow MAGA psycho.
    3. Election campaign with clean slate. (Just grow some charisma first.)

(BTW: Just beware how easily Erika got over losing Charlie.)

How CAN the Daily Beast continue to promote this scummy man who was intimately involved with Epstein for many years? He knew what was going on. According to reporting by journalist Ellie Leonard, who read 18,000 emails between Wolff and Epstein, Wolff helped clean up Epstein's reputation by removing information about Epstein's sexual crimes from the internet (as a publicist working for Epstein). He saw underage girls sitting on Trumps lap and never reported it. I'm transcribing all of this from an interview with Ellie Leonard here on YouTube that I'm listening to right now. You, Joanna are an enabler, Listen for yourselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oL97WXEHNdM

    sigh
Starmer's "huge landslide victory" in 2024 was won on 33.7% of the vote, on a turnout of 60% – so about 20% of those who could have voted for his Labour Party, did so. Labour also got fewer total votes in that election than in the disastrous defeat of 2019 under Corbyn. Starmer won a "huge landslide" in terms of seats because of our grotesquely undemocratic electoral system (almost as bad as yours in the USA!), a disastrous fit of madness among the Tories leading them to elect first Boris Johnson then Liz Truss, and the intervention of Nigel Farage, who split the right-wing vote. So he was never the popular favourite of the mythology most commenters hear and repeat, and his approval ratings have nose-dived after a series of crass political (and of course moral) errors. The government's course, starting with the revelation of expensive (although legal) freebies for Starmer himself and other senior figures along with decisions on welfare widely seen as harsh (which were later reversed under pressure), and the appointment of Peter Mendelson as ambassador to the USA, has looked more like a continuation of Tory rule than the "change" Labour leaflets promised.

"…cultivates an erratic style." Sure, Trump is erratic, very erratic, but might this not be referring to how he infuences his administration people to present erratic policy swings?

I hope that isn't true, if it is does that mean LD is a friend of Trump's cohort of yesmen and women or is it that being a comedian and comedy writer attracts clowns.

Maybe the Three Little Pigs is a cry for help to the public relating to their general environment and the types of people/spouses surrounding them?!
