15:51 That issue of National Lampoon is still a classic. The cover went on to become an icon. I wish I still had my copy.

I remember getting in to see it only because a friend of mine worked at the theater. We weren’t 18 yet (neither was my friend who worked there…go figure)

We had a BIG problem with this movie when it came out in High School. My buddy Dave looks very much like John Belushi. It got way too crazy for that whole year. But I don’t remember anybody actually getting expelled.

Taped it from the squawk box at the drive-in theater. I’d heard Mizzou was in the running. You had lots of great information. You’re a dude.

I think we all know how Belushi had the energy to do both things.
Cafeteria food wasn't the only thing he was "inhaling" 😅 👃❄❄❄

I was 12 years old when this came out. I went to the Cinemas 4 and bought a ticket to a PG movie and sneaked into this. It was was the first R rated movie I had ever seen and I saw it by myself.

"Faces audiences had never seen before"? Really? Tim Matheson had already had a long, successful career in Hollywood long before Animal House came around.

In "Delta House", Josh Mostel (son of Zero Mostel,) played Blotto who was Blutto's brother. Blotto's given name on the show was James Blutarsky. In real life, John Belushi's brother's name is James. DeWayne Jessie's brother Young Jessie had a hit in the 1950's called "Mary Lou". Before "Animal House", Martha Smith (Babs) was a Playboy Magazine Centerfold (1972?). After "Animal House" she had a recurring role on "Scarecrow and Mrs. King which starred Kate Jackson. Tim Matheson ("Otter") was the voice of Jonny Quest on the original version in 1964-65.

Fun fact: Mark Metcalf reprised his role as Neidermeyer in two Twisted Sister music videos in the mid 80s: one rigid father disciplinarian and the other as a teacher. Oh and Stephen Furst reprised his role in the 2nd video.
