I have a question! I like herping(catching and releasing, mainly to see the animal, being respectful etc) if I were to catch a lobster in a bucket to take a photo of and show my friends, is that ok as long as I release it right after and I’m very careful and respectful of the animal? Just want to make sure what’s okay and what’s not!

Poachers are usually the locals who know the lay of the land and who seem to think the resources are theirs by right, whether they have a license or not. It's all over the country, too.

Should have been arrested and hauled to jail. Why give them only one charge of one undersized lobster. I couldn't care less about the lobster fishermen that do it commercially as they are the worst of the worst.

My father was able to take a stick and make a duck 🦆 plug, in the 100yd walk to our truck where the game warden was. He had to disassemble his shotgun while walking.

I live on the Chesapeake Bay and I HATE poachers. I take my grandkids fishing or crabbing and we rarely catch anything we can keep because of poachers.

These guys are busted. That is first degree poaching right there. Charges against them 1 tide polling without a license, 2 pull fishing gear that does not belong to them, 3 fishing over limit, 4 possessing juveniles and females which is a No-No, 5 destroying evidence, and 6 fishing without a license. Both of them got slapped of a $1500.00 fine, both of them got court summons, both of them got arrested by the cops, and both of them are receiving a citation. You do not catch juvenile lobster, you do not tide pool, you do not pull traps that don't belong to you, and you don't fish without a license. Hope these young poachers learn their lesson.

Okay he lost me on the “stealing from commercial fisherman” part. The regulations are there to protect the animals and environment. Pro anglers deserve healthy populations to fish just like normal citizens. But it’s within limit: obviously adults only. There should be
