I live in West Virginia…McDowell County..and I also work with every snake I see…with my shotgun…or a big limb if the gun ain't handy! Snakes are a symbol of the Devil…and thats how I deal with that….these dumb fucks here are crazy….

The devil tempted Jesus to jump from a tall building and said the Bible says angels will hold you up so you don't hurt your feet. Jesus knew the Bible better than the devil and told him, the Bible says not to tempt the Lord thy God.
Now Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh so if anyone should know the Bible, it would be the author of the Bible. Don't listen to the devil and play with snakes or poison. You saw people dying so there's your sign.

Just so everyone understands, this is not a practice of ALL Pentecostal churches. It’s a very small faction. I’ve told people I attended Pentecostal churches for most of my young life and , “Do you handle snakes?,” was often asked. Uh, no. Know plenty of Pentecostal’s and none handle snakes.

As an Orthodox Christian, this could not be any further from what the Apostles taught and prescribed as far as worship service. I am not doubting anyone in this churches faith or love for Christ but when you separate the scriptures from the Church that gave them to us, you have a lack of discernment for what is truly from Christ or from the evil one. Speaking in tongues was KNOWN languages and not gibberish. A common thing among Evangelicals and Baptists is prelest. Religious delusion. And that is what we see here unfortunately. These people love Jesus and should see how the Christians of the first 1000 years worshipped. Priesthood, vestments, incense, and the Holy Mysteries. Everyone should at least watch a Divine Liturgy☦
