3 Doors Down Singer Brad Arnold Has Passed Away

Rock Feed | April 25, 2026

It is a heartbreaking day for rock music fans around the world. We have received devastating confirmation that Brad Arnold, the iconic voice behind 3 Doors Down, has passed away at the age of 47. Known for defining the post-grunge sound of the early 2000s with massive hits like “Kryptonite,” “Here Without You,” and “When I’m Gone,” Brad was a figure who seemed larger than life on stage, yet remained humble and connected to his roots throughout his career.

His lyrics allowed me to drain emotions that i didn't fully understand how to handle. Without: loser, kryptonite, here without you, when Im gone, be like that… i would be here. Man… RIP.

This one hurts. First of all, im also 47, second, as a drummer and singer i am one of the biggest rock/grunge/alternative/metal heads out here and this band got me through some times in the days. You will be missed Brad, and you will be thought of. Enjoy the ride brother, you earned it.

Thank you @RockFeed for the concert footage at the end!!! I love Brad and I'm greatful that I got to enjoy Brad's talent. Brad's best days are ahead of him. He has a new body now one that can never get cancer or any other illness. I can't wait to hear him sing again one in heaven. God bless Jen and the rest of his family.

True story when I was 13 years old I live lived in Puerto Rico because my father was in the military I went to school on a military base, three doors down had just came out with a hit song kryptonite and was doing a concert im San Juan after the concert one of the roadies invited my mother back to the hotel not knowing she was going to bring her son lol we went to the hotel hung out in the lobby next to the Casino with the whole band for hours and my hand to God the nicest bandmate was Brad the lead singer.. he didn't have to sit there and talk to a 13-year-old kid for hours after a big concert in Puerto Rico but he did and he was genuinely the nicest most genuine member of the whole band

That is so sad….. My heart goes out to all of his family, friends and fans. I usually like music that is way more heavy, but there are three or four TDD songs I love so, so much. I’ll always listen to him.

RIP 🪦 Brad Arnold ‘Here Without You’ is and always will be one of my all time favorite songs. All of his songs touched our souls and were a respite and refuge during difficult times in our lives. ☮️ ❤️ 🕊️ Brad will be missed, but his indelible music and messages to all of those who listened will live on forever.😊
