The asteroid hitting the eartyh and burned out most of the forrests on the planet…. also reduced oxygen levels on earth from 30% to only 21%.
With so low oxygen levels as we have now (21%), it would make it much harder for creatures to maintain such big postures.
So if a dinosaurs had been able to survive on some island all this time? It would evoluntarly shrunk in size from being enourmoys dinisaurs to merely at max Elephant size. Most would be around rhino, tigers, etc sizes.
Even insects could be over a meter in size in dinosaur era.
Oxygen levels do matter… alot.

If it wasn't extinct, we'd think it was amazing, but the first time it ate a human we'd wipe them out in less than two years. We must ensure that human, not reptile, is the dominant species on this planet. There can be only one!
