This song gets a lot of shit for being ānoveltyā and while it is fun and goofy the genius of this song is that it was social commentary on a subject that the entire world could relate to. Everyone knew exactly the type of person they were mocking

Agh, I really wish "The Kids Aren't Alright" got the nod. I feel like "Pretty Fly" always gets the first look from reactors and colors the conversation on Offspring. I just feel like their jokey side didn't stand the test of time as well.
