The IED in Iowa was apparently meant to just burst upwards, it wasn’t supposed to be a pipe bomb, which is what it accidentally became.

In India, you can't do a gender reveal party since it is actually illegal for you to know the child's sex before birth and they a pretty justified reason and it is due to severe female infanticide which literally caused some states to have a bad sex ratio so unless if it is for finding some abnormal conditions doctors cannot reveal it to the parents

the most ironic part imo is that… pre-birth sex detection isn't 100% reliable. Even POST-birth sex detection isn't reliable, because almost 2% of the global population has some sort of Intersex variation, many of which don't reveal themselves externally until adolescent growth hormones are released.
so… yeah, you might not even get the sex right. The baby might just have an abnormally long clitoris in the womb, or an underdeveloped penis at birth…
