Here’s a bit of history about US immigration laws to explain why I think the “Abolish ICE” conversation doesn’t go far enough.

If ICE should be abolished for two souls taken before their time, then every illegal immigrant should be deported for the thousands of souls taken before their time!

Whoa! Terrible take. She just spent the whole video uncritically explaining the conservative position on this. Plenty of snarky disses but no substantive criticism or analysis. I wonder when liberals are gonna realize that they are just right-wingers.

That’s a big yikes and an unsubscribe from me. 👋

Liberals will proclaim that abolishing the armed bodies of the state is “complicated” but it isn’t. That is the fallacy of liberalism.

22:09 I agree. But I also think that a sensible immigration system includes not only a pathway to citizenship but also significant foreign aid to help the home countries of the immigrants for example from Central America who are aspiring to come here so that there are more pathways for them to thrive back home. I believe that most people if given an opportunity at a great life in their home country would not choose to migrate. Most people miss home. The problem is some of the same people who oppose immigration are also the same people who oppose foreign aid.

I don't see anything wrong with the past administrations doing the same thing. However the Trump regime was showing hype videos of it. I don't know why?

Ask a fellow Minneapolis resident I’m a little embarrassed here, not as much as when I remember Chris Pratt and Pete Hegseth are from here, but more than…something idk.

Who are you trying to carry water for here? Who is running around saying abolish ICE and everything will be ok? Obviously the corruption in this country is deep, that’s why Trump was able to get so much support by stealing Bernie’s campaign and making it racist & evil.

Thank you for laying out a lot of the issues, but you know the American attention span is 45 seconds, and in the first 45 seconds you pooh pooh abolishing ICE and it instantly brings back the smear campaign on defund the police after George Floyd—did a nuanced view on that work out for anyone? It allowed democrats to dither around and do nothing while the freaks wrote a manual on how to destroy the country and hit the ground running to do it.

We don’t even get the incremental changes that weren’t good enough, anymore. Any “democrat” who isn’t matching the energy of a dementia riddled 80 year old dictator needs to be thrown under the bus with the rest of Maga. Any democrat who doesn’t have the political will to act needs to be run over by that bus.

We need all the changes that they have blocked or twiddled their fingers over all at once. Trump is breaking things every single day, without pause. We aren’t going to fix things with incrementalism.

Time is up for controlled opposition politicians like Jeffries, Torres, and Frey, get out of the way, go hide in a cave, and pray people lose the desire for punishments after they finish with the Maga freaks, the Silicon Valley freaks, the foreign fascist freaks interfering from outside the country, and before we make it to collaborators.

Your not getting rid of ICE. What needs removed are the Democrats paid protesters. Trump isn't going to step down on removing illegal immigrants. Secondly Trump isn't going to remove any law enforcement agencies. These death that are happening all on the Democrats. The Democrats are funding the resistance all through out the country.

Hi. Could you please make a program about the escalation of the US government against Cuba, trying to effectively impede any oil import into the country. As Cuba is an island with no oil reserves, and it won't back down on its sovereignty, I fear the worst. I have seen complete avoidance of these facts by the big media and it is very important to mobilize US public opinion to bring out the best of its people; I think this is the most important factor that could prevent this from happening. I know we have different systems in our countries, but one system should never be imposed over the other by coercion or force. I fear Cuba being the next Gaza.
