It turns out that women went from having what some might call “superior” pockets to the ridiculously tiny versions we have today. We’ve been asking for better pockets since the beginning of the 20th century, but somehow, not much has changed. What’s the hold up?

I'm a man, but every woman I know complains about this issue. So it seems strange that fashion companies haven't tapped into this demand… Unless the same companies and stores also make money from selling hamdbags? 🤔

I need big Pockets even a pen cannot fit in womens pocket. If they don't change i will go and buy mens jeans.

Whenever I buy an "everyday" jacket, if it doesn't already have monster pockets, i add a few on the inside. It does ruin the line of the jackets but I don't care because i have pockets! (Note: the jackets are a few sizes bigger to accommodate my pocket additions.)

As a cloth designer I think the 2 reason :
1 : Boys use purse that they keep in their pocket so they need big pocket & they don't use bag 🛍️ like women so they need big pocket . Woman use hand bag so most of their things are in their and that's why they don't use pocket much
2. For men pocket is not a choice it's must be . And for women's it's cost cutting 🤷♀️

Before watching this video, I tried to answer this for myself, and the first thing that came to mind was that they make the pockets so small so women are forced to carry handbags (and therefore buy more of them). Now I see that's not the reason, either way, I hope this gets better over time, my girlfriend hates the fact her pockets are too small for most things. But I do I love her adorable reaction everytime she notices a piece of clothing she hasn't worn before has hidden useful pockets! 😀

It's even WORSE in schools with uniform! My sister's uniform pocket in her SKIRT could only fit a single small NOTEBOOK; meanwhile I could fit like a textbook in mine! Schools are so ODD for what reason?!??!?
