I'm still waiting for the sequel to "The Legend of Billie Jean." What's it like in Vermont? We know they arrived there, Billie Jean and Binx, but what happened afterward. Will the story ever continue? It was such a cliffhanger. Honestly, I didn't want the movie to end.

I was born and raised in Corpus, I was in highschool when they were filming and watched them do all of the mall scenes at sunrise mall.. i had a friend named rex lee he drove he was the guy that drove the guys around pestering Billie jean he was the one who fell in the escalator waterfall. One Saturday tristar had the girls who wanted to be in the film come to the mall and get their hair cut for $50 and to be in the movie. It was fun seeing Chris slater, helen slater, Peter coyote, and all the rest running around the mall and seeing how it was all done. The marble scene was shot about eight times there was a golf cart with a camera on the back filming helen slater dropping the marbles. They had to sweep them up every take. At the end of everyday the director would say that's a wrap be here tomorrow morning wearing the same clothes😊😊 there's a lot more i could tell ya but im just babbling on.

I was just out of high school when that movie was made was made. A friend of mine and I was at that mall almost every day for 2 weeks after it opened I believe it was closed on Sunday at the time. When the girls became curious while we were there all the time we told them we were Mall security and they believed us that would have been approximately 1981 or 82

The bridge on the port that appeared early in the movie was what we call the lift bridge no longer exists. It was torn down and was featured on a show I believe on the Discovery Channel of its demolition

I also spend a lot of times in Aladdin Castle. Fun fact if you look at it very closely it is almost an exact replica of the mall in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. It was built in on by the same company. The one in Corpus was two stories Fast Times at Ridgemont High was three stories. They both had a shoe store in the same exact location and I can't spell it but it sounds like Floor Shine. Same handrails same tile the same glass baluster under the handrail on the second and third stories

I also remember all of the crew and their vehicles parked around the house at the corner of Doddridge and Ocean Drive. That was the house where the pool was. That side little parking lot I did not know existed until the movie came out I believe it is now gone. The house as you showed had a major major restoration which included the fence around the property in the front yard. In the newspaper they were advertising a two-story house over a pool. Apparently plans did not call for a slide but they made it a great part of the video to get from the window to the pool.

I wanted to do that exact scenario of pointing out the locations of this movie on an anniversary. Needless to say I will not do it because you did a remarkable job and had locations I did not know where it was. Courthouse the boys house. A place that always wanted to know where it was was the underground location that all the kids were in… it appeared to be a dark dank location Underground

Pooter her real name is Yeardley Smith was in several movies before and several afterwards. For me her number one character was Lisa on The Simpsons she won an award for her voice on that series. Simultaneously she was in a weekly show in an office setting that I do not recall the name of it

If you watch super super close when the station wagon jumps the curb at the corner of Carroll Lane and SPID there is a plank on the curb to assist the station wagon to get up the curb. That board laid there for years

I remember the station wagon being on top of a 18-wheeler car carrier outside the mall. The black four-wheel drive truck that was flipped at Carolina PID Once Upon a Time was Gray. I went on a date weather girl that's father on that truck before the movie. A friend of mine lifted and outfitted that truck at the-road Center. It was a very well-known shop back in the day. Hello Marty

I had a friend that worked at a kiosk at Sunrise Mall. She was reading the book Christine and she said during filming she told me this story some guy came up and said I was in that movie Christine. I said what did you say her answer was something like big deal. Of course it was far later before I put the two movies together and figured out who it was. Gordon was not in the mall scene but he was there

That's another great movie!!! They also shot a scene in Kaybee Toys too and I think they brought some GI Joe Walkie Talkies. Speaking of Helen Slater, I'm actually on the hunt for the original Supergirl Movie along with Billie Jean!!! You know TBS is bringing back the Dinner And A Movie Night with Actor Jason Biggs and his wife hosting!!!

Here is an interesting mash-up of this video and the one about 80s candy…
There is Nerds Surf & Turf (Totally Tropical Punch & Road Rash Raspberry).
I found that after looking up Willy Wonka candy from the Weird History video "How Wonka Became A REAL Candy Company."
That video and the one about Shasta (not sure if that was popular in Texas) are two Weird History videos you might find interesting.

Thank you. Great food choices. The mayo will be our secret. I would be lost without it. What was pouring over the Kit Kats? I will be sharing this and the podcast on my Facebook page.

This is such a cool and neat concept. Mark is THE man when it comes to the drinks. This really blows away the old TBS Dinner and a Movie show from back in the day. I also love how you have your friends do little segments. I bet it was a fun time that day.

My first time seeing this was catching it on pay cable in the summer of 1987. That is something that I kind of miss, catching a movie on TV and finding a new favorite.
I have bought most of the movies that I like, but this was one I had to support when it finally came out on DVD rather late, first as a studio released "DVD-R," before finally getting a proper disc in its Blu Ray release.
I hear "Invincible" all the time since it is in my 1985 playlist, which is one that I play all the time.
I like the location being in Corpus Christi, as opposed to other more popular places like California.
I think some people might have been confused in the past and maybe over the years about the title, associating it with the Michael Jackson song.

Awesome. I'll wait for my Halloween 80's movie and dinner invite 😂. How about porcupine meatballs for dinner with Critters as the movie. Or something made with apple and the movie Project X( chimpanzee with Matthew Broderick movie). The latter obviously not for Halloween 😂. You two are creative. I know the next one will be great 👍.

Abby,Keith, you may be the greatest geniuses of dinner and a movie hosting.
Why?
You totally got your guests to make all the food and beverages!!🤣
A master stroke of hosting hustle!
Of course, they were happy to do that, very sweet of them.
The recipes!
I love that surf and turf recipe,as long as the angel hair pasta was NOT ‘cut’ before cooking🤣🤣
My Italian side, well, this is a major No No.
(Use your best Super Mario voice when reading this part)
“Nooo-ah!!
You don’t-ah break-ah de pasta!!”
Street corn.
That’s my Latino side.
Many would scold you for this.
I do not.
It’s still a nice char!
The ingredients are just right,I can taste the caramelization of the corn, just seeing it made.
Cilantro is the bomb, yeah I hear of the soap concept,it is not the case with me,and I add cumin.
What did you pour on those Kit Kats??
Can’t be butter, must have been condensed milk.
Looks good.
Oh god,wait,was that yellow mustard???
It’s official,you are all insane.
🥰
