I am not comparing Vivian to Randy as guitar players but Vivian was Dio’s Randy Rhoads. It would have been like Randy going to Ozzy saying he wanted more money after those first two albums and Ozzy saying you’re fired. Dio was never the same after Vivian. Ozzy did some great stuff after Randy died but it did not have the magic of the first two legendary albums with Randy.

Thats what happens when you join up with the old big name guys. They use you for your best riffs and screw you for money then you leave or get fired and your done. Its a common tale. Better to start from the beginning on your own. Never make deals like that on a handshake.

Dio was my first metal band. Goldy had joined with the red bat wings on stage. Intermission released but Dio was kinda over by the end of Sacred Heart.peace

I have been in a few bands where others try to jump into the writing credits. You have 3 choices 1 let them 2 kick them out 3 leave. 3 is the best option hands down.

There were a few guys that were not honorable, Dio of course, who was known as "A great couple of guys" because he was prone to mood swings. Then there is David Coverdale, who was an actual snake, a back stabbing jerk to put it lightly. A person is only as good as their word, if your word is crap, you're crap.
