Man of Steel, BvS , Snydercut and Watchmen together with Blade 1&2 , Tobeys Spider-Man trilogy, The Dark Knight trilogy, Some X-men movies mainly Days of future past/Logan/X-men 2 and The four MCU movies from the Russos(including Iron Man and The first Avengers) are some of the greatest and most EPIC Superhero movies of all time ✌🏻

I walked into this movie a consistent fan of Superman media (wasn’t a comic reader then but would soak up pretty much anything else) and walked out knowing I wouldn’t see another movie featuring Superman until this shit got rebooted.

I know it's an old debate, but I still have to defend Superman killing Zod, that was a logical on-the-spot decision. He flies away with him, Zod breaks away, more destruction and deaths ensue. He uses superspeed to save the family – he leaves Zod unattended for a split second and loses the upper hand again, the fight continues. And Zod very clearly states, that he's not going to stop, and there's no way to apprehend and contain him.
Moreover, the first time I watched the movie, I thought Clark was screaming afterwards because he had to sacrifice that family in order to stop Zod. I mean, if you watch the scene shot-by-shot, Zod's heat vision moves in their direction for quite a considerable distance before fading out. But no, there's a quick shot of them all getting away afterwards, probably added for those like me. So, you see, for me that end of the fight was much darker at first. And then I find out it wasn't like that, and people are offended by Superman eliminating a clear threat and an almost unstoppable force? Yeah, no, I'm perfectly fine with it. Like, sure, it's all in the writer's power, but with the absence of the notion of kryptonite in this movie, that scene made sense to me.

Given the context of the fight, how would Superman lure Zod out of the city when Zod's goal wasn't to fight Superman, but to kill the humans to make Superman suffer?
