One PSA from the era I remember featured C3PO and R2D2 from Star Wars doing an anti-smoking PSA. It's available on YouTube here. Supposedly Anthony Daniels who plays C3PO wrote it.

Yeah, I was too busy being beaten and bullied by classmates and dealing with being csa'd by a close family friend to care much for drugs. I just wanted to be normal, or at least invisible. Born '85, went to school thru out the strom of change that took place.
Funny they focused so much on anti-smoking ads, anti-drugs, and such but in america never really cared to push for anti-child abuse/csa psa's. We got to see blackened lungs, listen to flat lining hearts, and warned about the dangers of alcohol. Even when abuse and bullying was touched on in shows it was framed in this unrealistic veneer of a happy ending, or serious parts glossed over. I didn't tell til we had the "good touch bad touch" talk in our classrooms leaving me curled up sobbing, then telling a nurse, a police officer and child behavior lady, then my parents. I still don't remember most of my childhood memories but I do remember sometimes and that never goes away.

Hey! I’m not sure if you’ll ever read my comment.
I just wanted to let you know how much your live-show helped me on 11/12
You helped keep me going, sweetheart.

I recall this horrendous TV movie i think it was titled Not My Kid??
Patty Duke and George Segal were parents of a teenage girl totally out of control! This whole movie was lowkey traumatizing to me as a child myself watching. The film was played soo melodramatic and over the top. I think it was on ABC.

Wow! The camcorder thing! There were a couple Christmas mornings when my dad rigged the tape recorder to catch me and my sisters running to our presents when we were little. I just flashed back to that and haven't thought about that for years. Thank you

Can you do more television shows of the '60s, and more of 2000-2025 would be great.

3:22:38 reminds me of 'you will own nothing, and you will be happy – live in the pods, eat the bugs' that the world economic forum has been pushing. Between that and the socialists, I'm glad I dont have kids.

We didn't have PSAs and after school specials where I grew up, I got all my drug knowledge from Degrassi (where Shane experiments with lsd and suffers a serious and irreversible head injury) and 21 Jump Street. So I was sure that all American schools had heroin dealers and gangs.

I wish I was here for the livestream. I remember all this shit. My favorite was the Ninja Turtles PSA. Stuck with me all 41 years.
