Why'd you draw the monster that way? That's exactly like how my bed monster looked.

Mine was tornadoes. Since I live in a state that is known for tornadoes, and tornadoes do pose a real danger to lives and property, it was probably justified. In all my life I have never experienced a tornado, but big storms still freak me out.

Child me was terrified of the Chupacabra. A creature that could steal all the organs of a creature and leave muscle eyes tongue and skin could easily do it to me just saying.

Grew up Catholic, and I was scared to death that the devil was gonna come and drag my ass to hell. I was a pretty good kid overall, but I liked to tell lies, and based on what I was taught in my Catholic school run by nuns, that was one of the freaking mortal sins on the same level as killing someone. One time there was a rumor that in a local disco the devil appeared and took a young woman to hell, and that night I was so scared I couldn't sleep, I spent the whole night praying and craying, only went to sleep when the sun came up only to then have a nightmare that the devil grew out of my freaking rosary.
I am not Catholic anymore.

Well technically kings didn't give their jesters those acres of land because they were that funny, it was mainly because jesters often poked and made fun of royaltys' personal shortcomings and couldn't be punished lest their jokes be based on truth. Basically jesters were medieval ragebaiters.

One of my biggest childhood fears were black holes.
The same book that taught me about the sun's (and earth's) lifespan being limited had a page about black holes which included the sentence "Black holes can form anywhere in the universe at random." From then on I was so afraid a black hole would appear in my bed. Completely overshadowed the fear of the sun's end.

I think the only childhood fear of mine you didnt mention was the fear of loved ones becoming something scary. Like a werewolf or a vampire. Something that made them act differently.
