Two family members of Rebecca Park have been charged with her murder and the murder of her baby.
Cortney and Brad Bartholomew, biological mother and stepfather of Rebecca Park, are each facing eight charges each including murder in the first degree, torture and assault of a pregnant individual.
The two appeared Tuesday in Wexford County’s 84th District Court after Monday’s hearing was delayed, with both held without bond due to the seriousness of the case.
The courtroom was filled with family, friends, and community members seeking answers in the month-long case.
Many left heartbroken after hearing the graphic details presented by the prosecuting attorney, Johanna Carey.
“They brought Rebecca Park to their home. They forced her into a vehicle and took her into the woods where they stabbed her. They forced her to lie on the ground while they cut her baby out of her, ultimately causing her death and the death of the baby,” Carey said.
The prosecutor urged the judge to deny bond, stating, “This is as heinous and this is also the case as it could be. And I don’t believe there are any circumstances in which Mr. Bartholomew should be granted any bond.”
The judge agreed, ordering Cortney and Brad Bartholomew to be held without bond and prohibiting communication between them while in jail.
Brad Bartholomew Charges:
Count 1: Commit offensive homicide murder in 1st degree premeditated
Count 2: Alleged committed the offense of homicide felony murder (punishable for to life) and DNA taken upon arrest
Count 3: Alleged committed offense of torture (punishable to life)
Count 4: Alleged committed offense of conspiracy to get torture (up to life and $10k)
Count 5: Alleged committed offense of assault of a pregnant individual or potentially causing miscarriage, still birth ( punishable to life)
Count 6: Committed offensive conspiracy to commit assault from an individual intentionally causing miscarriage or still birth (chronicled by life or any time of years and or $10k)
Count 7: Alleged committed the offense of unlawful imprisonment (up to 15 years and or fine of $20k)
Count 8: Committed offense of dead bodies, removing without medical examiner permission (misdemeanor up to 1 years and or $500)
Judge Corey Wiggins said Brad is a fourth offender and will be held without bond.

After hear the boy friend and the way he talks I knew he was behind this. And yes he have a mental disorder and must stay behind bars. There's many like him out there now. And they do need help so we can save lives.
Families if this happened here's some questions to ask y'all
Why will the person leave?
Was the family menber beings bullied or abused in anyway?
In her case I feel she was under a huge amount of abused and who knows what they was doing to her. So many foster kids end up in homes where they will be abused in many way. This days he system is failing us all imagine what they're doing to the foster child?
If a person just desapered make sure you ask yourself this and many questions like are they just tire of the life they are living?
Or just tired of whatever was going on in their life.

What the police should be looking at in a case like this?
1st investigate and have a long interrogation to the boyfriend, husband and parents and also some closer friends.
The longer investigate do the magic when the individual is under pressure of being in a empty room and knowing that they can go to jail.
All cameras in the areas including traffic cameras, gast stations camera and house in the are cameras.
Request her phone message, social media and call history is available and also can be recovered if was deleted.
Search all hospitals and make sure the person was admitted in those areas hospital in their state.
Investigate the husband or boyfriend deep. And their phone and social median.
Investigate the whole family.
Search gas station camera for the black car.
Based on her phone satellite signal the police can see the history of what other phone was with her or in the area all this can be tracked down with her cell phone company is all saved.
Bealive me is there and also on her google account.
And finally Investigate any other case and make sure this is not a humans trafficking situation where they kidnapped the mother and take the child. Humans trafficking is higher since the new administration toke over.
So maybe this is another victim of human trafficking. Who knows?
Of victim of bullying, disrespect and hate inside her own home.
Our behavior and the way we treat people have consequences. Hate, bully , discrimination, racism, jealousy and any bad things that belong in the list of the devils is very expensive and also a weapon that the devils use to destroy us.
Stay vigilant and don't fall for his dark matter that is crossing our planet. The devils is happy because many have vote his power in and as we all can see we must remember that at the end of all show we the people are the ones that will pay for it. Inocentes are dieing! People are hating on one another like we don't need each other. We must woke up and starting to treat one another with respect and kindness. No politicians will come to save you or your love ones. Stay put stay united. And if you feeling unsafety at your home call a holiness and get help don't just leave.
There's help out there there's hope. Rest in peace Rebecca! I am sorry the system failed you and many others. Mental health is a huge issue and must be voted as a bill of rights where individuals can and will have access to the help they need and deserve. If we can build walls and rockets we can take care to our citizens. Learn to vote and stop letting hate getting in between us. This case is another case where foster individual haven't get the help they need from this system.

What in the world is wrong with people supposed to protect her and make sure she's okay and safe?? They both deserve the death penalty I wish the law was like it used to be back in the old days when people did heinous crimes like this they were stoned and tortured and hanged, because people like that deserve to be treated the way that they treat others. I truly can’t understand it. What made them think they had to do something so horrific? I genuinely hope justice is carried out in the strongest way possible.
