I just want to say, I love the use of colour in this. It’s bright enough to be visible, yet it really encapsulates the darkness of the topic. Also, the attention to detail is insane! We never actually see the homeless guy from the start, he remains one of “the homeless”, the faceless people that the characters don’t want to acknowledge. This would be so interesting to write a paper analysis on. Makes me want to go back to school 😱

The acting was great and Julie Nolke's videos are all top notch, but here I'm fairly confused. Are we meant to really guess at what the Blackburns were truly trying to develop? The daughter and father had conflicting stories. Are we supposed to just guess at their background and purpose? And why would the local community buy the property to and halt everything, rather than buy it and let it still be developed into individual family homes? And why is the agent suddenly saying the home is his dream home?

I loved everything about the production, but I didn’t get the point. There isn’t a character who isn’t despicable. We’ll assume I’m simply dense and that it was a masterpiece.

A fantastic short. The cast are all great, especially seeing Julie play much more real than her normal heightened comedy skits. The realtor was excellent too, flipflopping between sycophant, victim, and then ultimately villain. The cinematography was lovely, chasing the moods of each interaction and I really liked the silliness of the fight at the end being punctuated by the darkness of the ending.
One of the most interesting short films I've seen this year.

Not quite the sort of comedy-laced Horror I was expecting (sincerely don't know why, but the thumbnail just said "horror" to me), but definitely horrifying(ly and grotesquely real)! Great job!!!
