Carney is a good talker and money spender, but where is the action? Things are getting more expensive. His latest budget is going to drive us further into debt. I am afraid for my Grandchildren. Liberals were famous for taking snippets from PP speeches and taking them out of context and making him sound mean. They also irresponsibly accuse Cons of being nazis. Irresponsible In sanity. Basically, I don't trust Liberals. Singh who? I think he buried himself with the trucker convoy by aligning himself with Trudeau instead of workers…..which was found by the courts to be legal. Another strike against Liberals

I mean Carney's success would look a lot more realistic if he didn't disqualify almost half the liberal members from voting for leadership lmfao… And that's just the start of his "career".

"Don't ask a banker for political advice" – Mark Carney.

Crazy how someone can say something like this than magically make "remarkable" progress LOL…

Didnt Bob stanfield run and lose thrice as conservative leader losing 3 times? What do you think about people switching votes directly from the NDP to Conservatives?

AAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDDDD another CPC crossed the aisle.

I'd, again, like thank Pierre for being such an insufferable twatwaffle that Canada voted in a Liberal govt that are better Conservatives than the CPC. Cheers.

It’s so frustrating as a Canadian living in the prairies.
my vote doesn’t matter and some slimy businessman (who doesn’t have any assets in Canada) Comes in and does nothing for a year only to win a majority somehow.

JJ, nobody likes Pierre because over his past 20 some-odd years in politics, he has consistently voted AGAINST affordable housing, regulating food prices, etc.
Everything he pukes out while campaigning are such obvious lies, I'm disgusted in any Canadians who would vote for him.
Talk is cheap, Actions are far more valuable. Tell Pierre to work a real job for a few years and try again.

Canada and it's politics is fascinating, but seems to be a bit blinded by proximity to the USA. In a world defined by deglobalizing, Chinese/American apathy, and European stagnancy, Canada's politics seem more worried about the bipolar US political system than the very real problems of youth radicalization and expensive welfare systems not built to handle aging demographics.

Hey JJ, long-time viewer here. I’ve got to say, though, I think it’s a bit disingenuous when you say the NDP has never come close to holding power. That might be true federally, although they were the Official Opposition under Jack Layton, but at the provincial level it’s a different story.

As recently as 2017, the NDP governed British Columbia, Manitoba, and Alberta at the same time, effectively holding much of the West. Even today, they still form government in B.C. and Manitoba. In Manitoba especially, I think Wab Kinew is proving himself to be a strong, charismatic leader and potentially someone with a future on the national stage.

I know you tend to lean right, and that’s completely fair, but I think it’s important to give the NDP their due when the record supports it. Great content as always.

I don’t think many Canadians want a PM who bows to Trump, or even make new substantial deals with the U.S. it’s important to show the world countries CAN have a backbone against power. He is unpredictable and confrontational. Even after signing the CUSMA deal, his rhetoric about trade and off-hand remarks about annexing Canada or how we’re “taking avantage of the U.S” created uncertainty for planning cooperation in trade, defense, and diplomacy.

The poll oversimplifies why centrists are cautious about Pierre Poilievre. When people say they want “kitchen-table issues” or “a more respectful tone” they are really looking for practical clear leadership not just nicer words. They want less focus on political fights with institutions media or bureaucracies, more acknowledgment of complexity, fewer soundbites, clear policy explanations, a focus on unity, and critiques of decisions rather than people.

It is not about opposing strong leadership. Poilievre’s style energizes his base but it can be polarizing, sometimes misleading, and harder for centrists to trust. People want boldness combined with nuance, evidence, and real life impact.

Carney uses doomer narratives to get voters. Kicks sand into the eyes of our Ally's, and trades with them anyways, in turn getting worse and worse deals.. While going behind their back and partnering with china which is known to interfere with our country. Buying electric cars, while that industry in Canada is failing (which is funded by our taxes)

Great point of view JJ you nailed it !!! My view !Well have you all heard of the Flim-Flam Man, Canada has the perfect example , in our PM.. In 9 months what has he done??? nothing! Yes he jet sets all over the planet claiming this and claiming that. But in short nothing had come to Fruition , not one shovel in the ground ! .and yet Canadians still fall to there knees in his presence !
