Am I misremembering or was their debut album amazing? Also I admit it: I really liked this song. Moves Like Jagger annoyed me SO much but Payphone… it’s catchy.

The only version of this song I'll claim/tolerate is the clean one without Wiz Khalifa since the bridge Adam does on there is WAY better and ties the song together in a more cohesive way imho

I used to live pretty rough and used a payphone later than a lot of people and I havent touched one since like 2010.

Boost mobile exists and then you can have potential employers call you and you don't have to worry about some ass breaking the phone

This youtuber sucks…he just goes around mocking great nostalgic songs that artists dedicated days and weeks into creating with some random BS and makes money off of that. No wonder you stay in the shadows…I can't believe that this guy is even verified. Please stop making content like this.

Looking back on Wiz Khalifa’s rap bridge on the song, I don’t think it fits the song’s context.
Also, there was a version of this that replaced Khalifa’s rap with a bridge: “Now baby, don’t hang up / So I can tell you all you need to know / Baby, I’m begging; just please, don’t go…”

Upon relistening, I've become convinced that Wiz is not trying to rap from Adam Levine's perspective, but is in fact the person Adam Levine is calling. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
