Imagine an entire network of flying cars zooming around 2,000 meters (6,561 feet) above our congested city streets. Your morning commute would be a lot different up there: you could travel at higher speeds and you could reach almost any remote destination. But what kinds of laws would we have to put in place to control the skies?

Drivers are too often incompetent in two dimensions. I can't imagine how dangerous THREE dimensions would be with these 'vehicles' falling out of the sky.

If we had flying cars, we'd always be looking over our shoulders for potential car crashes. At least now, if cars crash, it's generally only the car occupants who are hurt. And I forgot buildings. Imagine a car going wild and smashing into the middle of a building…

Just I do not think everyone in the future can have flying Car's. Pilots License would always be needed. Flying Car's are more expensive to purchase and high insurance rates.

There would be a turf-war on everything… from fuel supply.. to manufacturing.. all the way down to who gets to drive (humans or Ai). ..
Humans are collectively too dumb to have nice things like this & further advance technologically as a society.

That's if you assume if you don't have more physical clues which probably wouldn't happen. It's not because a car is flying that it's not traveling in anything physical. Carbon fiber cues and clues with electromagnetic technology that were not visible to the most physical eyes to the touch would be the solution. Graphene for example is an excellent idea. This would already avoid accidents, technical problems and the question of how you would be put by the police, since now the streets would be "invisible". Because we would have streets, avenues and roads still, but they won't be visible to anyone outside one of these cars. Problem solved.

Flying cars are an excellent idea.
They would unburden traffic, extinguish hit-and-run, relieve noise pollution, be a faster and more efficient way to travel, extinguish the need for streets and physical avenues saving cities money, and also bringing more opportunities for pedestrians walked quietly.

Better then tunnels around the globe. But colliding with eachother is not safe , also for people on he surface. Maybe we can built a inflatable cushion around the car (like an outside airbag) when you collide with one onother, so the can fall on the ground softly. But please no propellers, but an inside electric motor or something that way would save the birds.
The cars made of light material (like carbon) which will bring less injuries both in the car and people on the groundm or causes damage on buildings. One problem left, how can i lay down in the sun without cars in the air? And what if they make very loud noises? I do not prefer cars for 24 hours a day above me. It takes away all the sight to the sky.

I think we are to stupid as a society to handle flying cars. Look at our behavior with normal cars on the roads. And I'm definitely including myself in this. I'm just as bad as the other aholes on the road.
