Zizek is brilliant, but I can’t understand 90% of his message because of his thick accent and the spit flying diagonally like bullets ricocheting in my head top cutting my dome like a triangle

Why is Jordan Peterson up there? Also, this guy, a modern day Diogenes? I don't know. He's got some of the cynicism down, but if you always attempt to contradict yourself, how different are you really from a classic nihilist? You still haven't arrived at anything substantive. Unless you're taking the socratic ideology and just turn it on its head. But even Diogenes had some conviction of his own beliefs.

Isn't a philosopher who proposes no solutions while criticising everything, the best type of philosopher. Since ultimately, nobody can truly "do anything about" anything, so the best thing is to have someone radical yet intelligent tell you why many things are bad, and you can draw whatever you want to draw from all of that yourself.

The more the philosopher is mad and twisted in his mind the more his philosophical thought is sophisticated

Despite his chaotic nature and beliefs, I think there’s valuable knowledge in some of his books. I’m really enjoying reading Event.

Zizek is like a drunk guy in a pub, ranting about politics but with a degree and a strong obsession with Hegel. there is as little bit of Zizek in all of us

I don’t want to be disrespectful to Zizek, but I just see him as someone who suffers of some kind of dissociation, and therefore cannot offer consistency when analysing topics he’s approaching: I don’t think there’s a meaning that is being carried behind his inconsistency and conflicts, yet I can see how the consumer of his thought can find meaning provoked by (while not derivative from) Zizek’s thought, which is likely a product of the ambivalence of said thought.

i tend to love Zizek for always taking us on a fun, thought provoking ride that drops us off precisely right where we started, perhaps just more confused. I think every thinking person has a little Yugoslavian tweaker somewhere in their mind to remind us we don’t actually know sh*t, but it’s probably still worth thinking about these things anyway. Of all the little voices in my mind, I must admit he’s my favorite. As an added bonus he keeps the evil ones too confused and frustrated to have any real influence.
But no matter how many times I hear the voice say “put a poster of Stalin over your bed”, i have to draw the line somewhere… So instead i got a promo poster for “The View” and drew childish boobies on each of the hosts.
Philosophy!! Amiright??
